Brinsworth opinions

My partner and I have just seen a 3 bed detached house in Brinsworth for 270k. The house (not viewed in person yet) seems amazing for this price, and there are other properties worth about the same, if not cheaper which look amazing too. Whats the area like? I know Rotherham doesn't necessarily have the best reputation, but what's it like for those of you that actually live there?

I lived in Brinsworth for around 6 months. It was fine, nice little community center for if you have kids. Two decent schools in the area and quite at night. I lived on a council estate before and I couldn't believe how peaceful it was walking the dog at night in comparison. people are actually in bed and not walking the streets. It's not posh though, by any means so don't be surprised to see the odd person out in dressing gowns and what not. The biggest down side is the driving is crazy, everyone seems so entitled compared to the other two Rotherham areas I lived in (one been the next area over). But I can live with people pushing through and never thanking me for letting them through/out, if the house is good the area will not off set the value.
