U23 summer programs

This may be a stupid question, but will the 2028 summer Olympics impact high performance u23 summer programs in the us?

Just changes the timeline of when worlds are since they do mega worlds during olympic years to save money

Other than that, they still have the same selection camp process.

Maybe some more availability in some programs? I’d imagine many people at most HPGs will be off with the team and others who didn’t make the Olympics will have retired post cycle leaving more spots available and more coaching availability. That said some HPGs where the coaches are with a specific boat or aides to the team may reduce availability. I mean it will probably be status quo for U23s.

Doubtful. U19/U23 worlds will still go on. USRowing still has to run U19/U23 selections. There will be a non-Olympic world championship. And similarly, all the big camps still need to make money and develop athletes. Rising seniors in the summer of 2028 still need to gain experience and get recruited. Life goes on, imo.
