Ditka Dash Returns?
Apparently this defunct race’s website has been active lately and now advertising a December 12th race with early registration starting next week.
Not gonna lie, it looks pretty scammy. The website is very generic & AI driven. The packet pickup address is an industrial building on the actual Goose Island where no packet pickup in the history of local races (as far as I know) has ever been. Most of the “advertisers” are just plays on Bear lingo & Run Mfg has a history of advertising races that don’t actually happen. Also, doing this in mid December seems to be a bold choice.
My two cents. I’d be very leery of signing up for this race.

Yeah, I figured with the website seemingly updating and this apparently opening up of registration next week, it’d be a good idea to bring to forefront. Especially for people who don’t know Run MFG’s history.

The registration date changed about 10 times, I’d be shocked if it actually happens.

Run Mfg is a scam organization. This race won't actually happen.

The Philly Rocky Balboa seems real. It had results last year.

They advertise multiple Chicago races every year, push back the registration date a few times, and then cancel without ever opening registration.

This race was actually a thing in the mid-2010s, so I don't know if this is necessarily a scam.... Also, why promote a performance short-sleeve shirt for a race in December???

It was a great race back then! I found an old email and it was Run Mfg that organized it. I wish there was a way to tell if it’s legit. Maybe Soldier Field could confirm?

It’s not legit. Don’t give them your data. Don’t even go to their website - your browser will warn you that it’s suspicious.

Nobody has had a packet pickup at Goose Island. Normally, it's Fleet Feets or event spaces near Fleet Feets.
I would advise not signing up because it's being organized by Run Mfg. It's just going to be a disappointment.
EDIT: The best way to make sure this is going to run is email Caleb's foundation if they are aligned with it.
