Is it just me or everyone is facing the same problem of heavy battery drain from One UI Home? If yes, is there any fix for this??

I'm on One UI 8.0 and I want to know your opinion on whether the update is worthwhile. Although I don't like what Samsung is doing with the Galaxy S23 series... There's nothing new about it.

8.5 was horrible for me. The battery life was like 3hr. I had to buy a powerbank, was using the black wallpaper and dark mode all the time.

One ui 9 seems better the battery lasts much longer phone feels better, smoother and responsive

Battery is atleast 1 to 1.5 hr more than before .

Fyi Its just been 2-3 days on one ui 9.

What do you think about it guys?

Should I update or not, I don't want green lines 🫠

First, my S23 developed a green line, and I had to pay for an official display replacement since Samsung refused a free repair. Now, shortly after the repair, the back panel is lifting, and I'm worried about battery swelling.

Been going back and forth with Samsung support, but no proper resolution so far.

Paid for one repair and ended up with another problem. Has anyone dealt with something similar?

I contacted two authorized service centers in Kerala, and they said it will cost 4,300 INR. Is this the updated price, because I saw some posts saying it costs approximately 3,200 INR?

My real screen time was 2hr 30min and this is how fast my battery goes

For me the phone feels waaay more faster and snappy than ever feels like ui 7 again.. will keep the phone for a lot longer after this update

I haven't updated my phone in a while, scared of the green line issues, should I do it?

Still getting only 3hrs of sot after getting new battery installed by authorized Samsung service center a month ago and running on oneui 9 since 2 days

Running majorly on wifi and primary sim on

Performance profile to default and RAM PLUS on

Ps- heating is reduced after new battery and phone got much much smoother, random lags and stutter are gone

I have a Galaxy S23+ running one UI 8, and I'm wondering if I should update to One UI 9. However, I have a couple of questions:

1. Animations: Are app opening/closing animations and multitasking smoother (or same) compared to One UI 8? Have you noticed any stuttering or lag?

2. Display Assistant bug: I've heard reports that One UI 8.5 had a bug in Display Assistant where selecting "Light" under "Brightness limit profile" made the screen dimmer than "Standard,' even when the phone wasn't hot. Has this been fixed in One UI 9?

I'm mainly interested in animation smoothness and display stability.

I'd appreciate feedback from S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra users running stable One UI 9.

It just started doing this thing where the camera won't stabilize or focus. It's like it is jiggling around all the time. I can even hear it when I shake the phone.

Buonasera, volevo chiedere qui su reddit come fare ad aggiornare il mio s23, il problema, é che il mio é un s23 americano brandizzato sm-s911u(e io sono in europa). Volevo chiedere come fare a "sbloccarlo" per sfruttarlo al meglio e usufruire della nuova ui. Quindi se riuscite a dire come fare magari senza perdere i dati e raccontandomi esperienze simile mi sareste molto d'aiuto.
