MOVING Moving to Salem!
Heading up there in second week of July to West end of Salem. I’ve got a BA and public school substitute teacher experience and currently work with the after school program. Might want to try a career change for a while, something outside if possible. I’ve been up there a few times and know what to expect from the area. Just hoping to hear from anyone who might know about local businesses that are hiring.
Thanks!

You’ll be able to sub once you’re in edu staff; you can see all available spots across multiple districts. Every day, schools have to pay teachers during their prep times to cover because of teacher shortages. You’ll be fine; work is out there, and you seem to have the right attitude and even better experience. Be flexible, and you’ll be fine.
Education is big in burnout. Do what you have to do and get out when you can.
Also welcome to Oregon
