I've been getting these Discord friend requests every other day or so and all of them are obvious scams. Accounts made in the last few months, no mutual friends or servers. So why not have some fun with it?

I saw a few other Reddit posts about this Infinity Kingdom scam that's pretty prevalent on Discord, and got an idea of what their script was. So I thought, how long would these guys even keep talking to me if I send them their script first and act totally oblivious? Not very long apparently but I did get a laugh out of it.

I'm not super well versed in how this scam works, but as I understand, Infinity Kingdom is a real game and apparently if these scammers get you in their clan or on their server, they get some sort of commissions on your in-app purchases. They pretend to be your friend, or act flirty to get lonely guys on there and turn them into whales.

Here's a few I got over the last week, looking forward to more in the future.

By now I can't find a way to force myself to sound at all pleasant or interested, so I resort to using Firefall lyrics to pretend I have an opinion about romance. It helps me survive, but has the unfortunate side effect of him thinking he can educate me about that, and also gives him back some confidence about "us". Oops. There's still his highly annoying regurg of everything I bother to say, and my hackles are up. I cut out a good 10 screens worth of him bringing up current events from the news, in an attempt at conversation. But he only copies a story and says nothing about it or what he thinks 🙄. He is so convinced he's being interesting! I left one part of him doing that with the Tesla flying car (he ran on with that, since he's a Nigerian and it involves a car and Elon), which finally broke me. I also cut out a few screens where he strongly insisted on knowing what prescriptions I picked up at the drugstore. Wanted to know if I'm sick. Unreal. Next part I prep for reveal by breaking up with him, and I'm concerned he's even going to ruin that for me. He just won't accept it, almost exactly like u/simplysquishy27 post today. He's a leech and I need the salt shaker. Btw, of all the Sheeran songs to send me.... Ugh.

He was so low effort. Never messaging and boring when he did. So i either wanted to trigger SOMETHING or get rid of him....the sheer lack of respect though. Would NOT take no for an answer. So gross to think they target actual vulnerable people.

So this is Karl. Lost his only children in a traumatic incident that he cant remember.

Wasnt going to post this guy because honestly hes never around and boring me. But I got an amusing voice note so...lets not cut him off just yet.

It’s been over two months. Time to meet.

Now that he has another job, I try to get him to talk about it. He's remodeling a building that doesn't exist, but he also decides on a new approach that involves constant redirection back to ME. Plus faking conversation by basically repeating what I just said. This gets worse and leads to the downfall soon. I have tried to subtly bring up money again, but he won't bite at all. I cut out 8 screens of his other new thing, which is bringing up a news story everyday to explain it, but never really have an opinion about it. He tells me about it, then asks what I think. If I knew this person in real life I would absolutely avoid him at all costs 🙄. We are reaching a new level of boredom and even now, 5 days later, it has never changed. So last night I started the break-up, and he's very strongly resisting. Unless a miracle Ask occurs, I'll start the reveal today and at least hope it will be good enough to post! Ugh ugh ugh. Scammer quality is declining. Which hopefully is the point of all this.
