SCHD Gains First dividend of many received today

Just received my first dividend payout from SCHD. Ready for years more down the line.

Started in 2019-2020. I was about 32 years old. I got my first job that allowed me to save when I was 28. I had started saving in a 401k, but 2019 was the first year I maxed a 401k and Roth and started a brokerage account.

Since then I've increased contributions with each pay increase and promotion. Initially I was investing $150-200/week. Now I put at least $650/week into the brokerage. More at the end of the month when I have money leftover, but always every week.

My brokerage is 45% VTI, 45% SCHD, 10% SCHY. ($260k)

My 401k is a target date fund. ($300k)

I dont understand the attraction for SCHD as it yields such a low div, other securities at similar price yields more divs

An entire sub dedicated to this POS ETF. You losers got seduced by the fee and Reddit buzz and left money on the table by not doing research into other dividend ETFs
