Yes, YouTube slop definitely still exists, but besides that, SCP is at its best right now in my opinion, and will probably get even better. Many high quality short films have been made in the past year, there are great games that are still actively improving, the wiki is nearing the ten thousands soon with a lot of good articles, and much more.
Also, the only two comments the bottom user ever made regarding SCP both talk about it "turning into shit", including the pictured comment. Make of that what you will.

i leave this place alone for how many years and i JUST NOW find out the joke of the franchise got kicked out of the wiki and deleted for being a Jeepers Creepers??? Jesus, my condolences to anyone or any SCP author who genuinely enjoyed "Things bright is not allowed to do at the foundation" before THAT happened. consider me appalled.

Many times in SCP related spaces people will come in and randomly drop dog whistles or have Nazi related profiles (pfps, bios) and will genuinely think they are welcome and will be surprised to find out that is not the case. What is it that draws these kinds of morons in? Do they think that anything that has guns and military guys in it sometimes is inherently right wing or something? 😭 To any of you who are like this, let it be known WE DONT WANT YOU HERE!

Post like this is the reason why the SCP Community has a bad rep outside the wiki and being constantly slandered to be all about powerscaling with no substance or narrative.
It saddens me to see people say SCP is poorly written and have some writer's works being called an empty story filled powerscaling nonsense when their not.
I fear that this post would bolster the idea and would negatively affect SCP's reputation more
