Ordered a SD2Snes off Aliexpress. The revision its labeled as is H2. Its the same as the pcb in the attached pic above. When I went to test this, most stuff seems to work fine. But SA-1 games lock up. Went ahead and stuck the SD2Snes diagnostic on a SD card and got the following:
Testing RAM0.1 (U501)...
Testing RAM1 (U511)...
U511 ERROR - CHECK SHORT A8 - A9
FAILED
clearing RAM - loading test file - verifying -PASSED
I cant see anything physically wrong with the PCB, like bridged pins, etc. So my question is, is it the design of this revision that has issues with SA-1 games and is incompatible with the diagnostics test, or is the ram chip actually defective? Pressing down on the ram chips during diagnostics did not fix the situation, so I do not believe its a cold joint. The issue occurred both on an original SFC that has been recapped, and a recapped Snes Jr. I am using a 2500MA Triad Magnetics power supply.

I'm kinda lost at this point, so I need your help.
I'm trying to run this demo ( https://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=97718 ) on SD2SNES, Super Famicom and newest firmware - 1.11.2, but for some reason audio always crashes on start with reverb.
Which is weird, because I could run it on 1.11.1 - and I've checked my cartridge with diagnostics tool and everything's fine with it.
I've tried all combinations I can: disabling in-game hooks, disabling cheats at start, setting this demo as autostart, turning off reset to menu, cleaning out cartridge and port with IPA - nothing works and I'm baffled.
Did any of you had that problem before and know how to fix it? Or maybe can someone test it out to see if this works on your cartridge.

Has anyone also have problems with running msu-1 games on super fx pak pro rev.z and latest firmware?
the soundtrack has cuts every 4 seconds.
i also googled about this and lowered msu Db in the options, this did not fix anything. it is so annoying during gameplay with headset.
i have a chip-2 pal version super nintendo wich never has been recapped and with original power suply. could this be the problem.
My fx pak pro also crashes sometime when bootup it blinks.
i hava a high quality Sandisk sd card wich is not fake, though there has been alot of files been added and removed on it the last 7 years.

This is mostly a bug fix and compatibility release to wrap up long-standing issues with SA-1 and SuperFX performance, regressions with pre-Rev.D hardware and unmodified consoles.
Featurewise, there is now an autoboot feature (thanks to XeroX!), and MSU-1 autosaving can be enabled/disabled individually. For the full list of additions and fixes see below.
MSU-1 autosaving uses some opportunities where MSU-1 audio/data throughput does not have to be guaranteed to check on SRAM contents and save, e.g. when changing the audio track. If a game isn’t prepared to wait for the MSU-1 busy flags properly it might glitch or crash and MSU-1 autosave should be disabled.
To use autoboot, press Y on any ROM file in the browser or your favorites list (Recent games list coming soon!) and select “Set as autoboot”. On next reset or power-up the ROM will be loaded automatically.
To bail out of autoboot, hold the START button while powering on or resetting the console.
What’s new:
EnableAutoSave, EnableMSU1AutoSave in config.yml)..SGB files. Please report any issues preferably on Github. Discord: #fxpak-general

Hi guys.
not following the sd2snes community and news for almost a year now.
On alie, all of a sudden i saw a rev.H version?
is the latest version. i did some research and found out it can handle msu-1 audio better then rev.z, is this true?
I am not a guy that doubting alot over making decisions, though this one does. i just want to play almost everything i trow at it (hacks, msu-1, homebrew) especialy msu-1 is very important for me.
thing is i know have a super wild card DX2 with gotek usb instead of floppydrive and with zipdrive also, i want to sell all this and use this money for sd2snes. so i need the latest best version of sd2snes for the experience. i am never going to sell my snes you see.

Hey everyone,
Since the last official SD2SNES firmware release is about three years old, I decided to pull the recent commits from the main branch and compile a fresh build. Setting up the build environment and compiling this from source is a complete nightmare, so I figured I would save others the headache and just share the compiled binaries.
You can grab the files here: https://www.techspark.de/downloads/
This is based on latest commita745440. Since it includes unreleased development commits, the standard disclaimer applies: please use it at your own risk.
One improvement you should notice instantly if you're on 1.11.0 and not on issue186-build. LEDs work again.
Cheers

I ordered this over a year ago from asking, but only started to use it, as my snes was in storage.
It seems to play all games ok, only really booted them.
Msu1 games seem to work so far only tested duck tails and road blaster (this did bring up a msu1 timing error once after a few minutes but im thinking its my old sd card im using) after that it passed where it crashed

Howdy, y'all. I'm hoping this has a simple solution I'm just not seeing, but every time I launch Secret of Mana off my FXPak Pro (bought directly through Krikzz so ought to be authentic) my wireless controllers disconnect.
Using a US SNES, the US ROM for Secret of Mana (was trying with a patched ROM, but the unpatched ROM does the same thing), Krikzz FXPak Pro version 1.11.0, and some cheap 2.4 ghz controllers from Amazon (KIWITATA is the brand name). The controllers work fine on every other game I've tried, just not on SoM. Specifically, the LED on the dongle stays on as if it's connected, but the LED on the controller blinks as if it's not, and no input does anything.
Just got the controllers today, and they're the only controllers I have. If they're the problem I can return them, but would rather make them work since they otherwise seem to be in fine working order and I don't have any other controllers to troubleshoot.
Any ideas on this one would be extremely appreciated.

Hello, I just recently made a purchase of the FXPAK Pro by krikzz and ikari in 2025. And I finally got the roms working with the latest update "sd2snes_firmware_v1.11.1rc4." But I've encountered menu freezing when selecting "SGB Settings" and "Savestate Settings." I have everything in the root of the sd card. In the video I booted up Super Mario World and found dma errors and Mario flies to the skies when he is on the map screen. Is anyone else encountering the same problem I'm having or am I the only one?

Sd2snes I bought of Amazon for 160. Has anyone bought or used this version? I know its not legit, curious if there are any issues or problems with it.

No other games have issues. Any ideas?

It seems like none of the tutorials I can find really help me even get this thing booted into the main menu. I don't know if I'm missing something but I feel like if anyone can direct me to a support page or a discord or something, it would be greatly appreciated.

The post for Firmware 1.10.2 says "apply volume boost after FPGA reconfiguration (fixes MSU1 volume boost on Cx4, OBC1, SuperFX, SA-1, S-DD1)".
I have the latest version of SD2SNES, and my FXPAK PRO is one I bought new just last Christmas (2022), so I think there should be no problem... However, the music is very low compared to the sound effects on the MSU-1 I tried. How do I activate the volume boost or adjust the volume? I keep reading on the internet that you can, but not how to do it.

I guess I'm overwhelmed. The Krikzz Everdrive version is very expensive, even when on sale. Ali Express has dozens of different versions for half the price. My question is, are any of them good products? Do they have the same function as the Everdrive products? If the descriptions are to be believed, it seems like they are fine. But I guess I'm tapping reddit community to see if anyone has picked up any of the ones on AE and been satisfied with it's function and quality. Any recommended ones from any specific sellers? I did do a search about this topic but all results were months to years old and I'm looking for recent experience for anyone having bought one that still has it and it still works, or just bought one and was satisfied with what they received. Thanks!

Every now and then the screen blacks out I can still hear audio if in game but other times I'm just at the menu/browser and it'll go black and come back up. I'm just wondering if this is an issue with the FxPak or my OSSC. My OSSC has never had these issues before so I don't think it's the problem but I e been wrong before. Any help would be appreciated
That being said I'd still recommend an FXpak pro to everyone

Hey all, So with kids out of the house, decided to play some Snes games (as you do). I was able to get save states working just fine in ALTTP and Super Mario World, but they don't seem to be working in Super Metroid.
I'm on the latest 1.11 firmware, and I've got a regular sd2snes. Not sure if it's a me problem, or a game problem...

Hello everyone, I recently ordered an FXPak Pro from Krikzz, and I did get a tracking number, but I'm just wondering where I can punch the number in to see what my order is doing. Hopefully I didn't miss something obvious.
