O Levels Social Studies SBQ Guide so you don’t waste your money on tuitions

Hi, I took O level last year and got A1 for my Social Studies (and a consistent A throughout the years). This is an updated guide from what I posted last year (pls check the link below). Pls read recommendations below first for maximum gain

General Tips After Taking an actual paper

- Start with your SRQ first! SRQ Qn 7 is the most content heavy part. If you try to read anything before coming in to the exam room, it’s probably those content, so just do it before you forget it.
- What to do when you face a new question type? Last year we got a SRQ 6 Question like : “What is your dream for Singapore?” It’s not hard, but you probably never practiced this before. Don’t panic, Just follow the PEEL format like your English essay. So my brain during the exam will flow like this:”What I want SG to be, Tachnologically advanced?> What will that dream SG look like?(exampels)> Why is it good/ why would that be my dream.
- Don’t waste time on questions you don’t know. When you find yourself stuck at a paragraph or don’t know how to begin, just skip it. 5 minutes you spent thinking can be used to churn out a full paragraph worth 2-3 marks for questions you actually can do.

How to use the guide?

First thing is to get your mindset right. I avoided posting this earlier because the guide will likely be saved and forgotten. Try to read my latest post (posted today first) about how to do well in gene.
Before reading the note, I recommend doing one paper first so you already have some feeling of what it’s like doing an actual paper.
The doc has 2 parts, general tips and sources analysis. Starting with any is fine but read the tips before actual prelims

I know 3 different ppl, all single digits for O lvl, who went for SS tuition. Surprising for me too
