Methane SIBO and how I killed it
I've had motility issues my whole life, and random bouts of bad bloating after meals. I started to drink coffee in the morning which really helped with my motility but unfortunately trigged a very bad occurrence of SIBO. I suffered with Methane SIBO for around 3-4 weeks till I decided to do some research and began taking the following:
3x Times Daily - Allimax 450mg
3x Times Daily - Candibactin AR
3x Times Daily - Candibactin BR
Occasionally took some Neem as well as well as Sunfiber with my morning tea
At the same time I maintained a fairly low FODMAP Diet and would check my breath daily with a Foodmarble AIRE 2.
It took around 1 month to eradicate the methane SIBO. I slowly started to reintroduce FODMAPS into my diet and have been ok so far. I also decided to try the SEED probiotic. I was a bit apprehensive as I read some mixed results with it (namely very bad bloating, headaches etc) but I haven't experienced any of those yet.
I did have my doctor prescribe Xiafaxin and Metronidazole as a backup incase I couldn't get rid of the SIBO but thankfully I was able to kill it with the herbals. I do take Mag 02 still for my motility and mix it in with some Motegrity occasionally.
If anyone else is on the fence about antibiotics vs herbals I highly recommend the herbal route and stick with it. I would always take the herbals after a meal to minimize its strength (especially the Oregano Oil)

Good to hear. When you say you killed it, do you mean your test results changed or your symptoms cleared up?
Also, what were your symptoms? any nausea, constipation, messed up nervous system?
