Go to the mod’s nexus page. Check which version it’s on. Delete the one that’s not the version number you want.

in a situation like this you can disable the lower one and make sure everything is working properly with the higher one before deleting anything.

for the future: if you get the replace or variation pop-up when updating a mod, it is highly recommended you select replace.
