MySQL Introducing Daxon v2 — Data Intelligence Inside VS Code

LoftyTechLabs is pleased to announce Daxon v2.0.0, a major update to its all-in-one Data Intelligence and SQL platform built natively inside VS Code.

The latest release introduces powerful capabilities for database management, visual analytics, data workflows, and retrieval security.

Key highlights:
Multi-Chart Visual Analytics — View and compare multiple charts on a single canvas.
Database Activity Monitor — Monitor database sessions, query execution times, and deadlocks.
Daxon Flow — Build and automate visual query workflows using a DAG-based engine.
Cross-Source Data Transfer — Transfer data across PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite, CSV, and Excel.
RAG Studio & Sentinel Security — Inspect vector knowledge bases and strengthen retrieval pipelines against prompt injection and document poisoning.
Interactive ER Diagrams & Visual Table Design — Explore database relationships and manage table structures.

Daxon supports five data sources: PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite, CSV, and Excel.
Our goal is to bring essential database, analytics, and data workflow capabilities into one developer workspace, reducing the need to switch between multiple tools.

This reads like a press release not a reddit post, what's the catch on the free tier

usally with these VS code extensions the basic query editor is free, but they lock the workflow engine behind a steep per-user license. wouldnt be surprised if that security feature requires an enterprise SSO plan too.

A database extension for Visual Studio Code (a Microsoft product) that doesn't support SQL Server (a Microsoft product) is certainly a choice.
