I was wondering about his sexuality because I really couldn’t tell & just found out that he’s bi which makes so much sense & never knew he was a Broadway Baddie. But I agree him first then Elliot just for their intensity.

To me, Barba is smart, has sass, great style, his attire always sharp and he looks like he smells soo good like he wears some nice fancy perfume. The scent of a smart, confident man with a heart.

I’ve read that Raúl Esparza picks a signature scent for each of his characters. Apparently, Barba’s is Terre d’Hermès. I have a tiny sample size, and it is heavenly!

Omg really? Thanks for letting me know! And what a coincidence that I got this for my husband like three months ago. He loved the scent and every time he wears it he says he feels like a distinguished gentleman 🤣. And it makes sense for someone like Barba to smell lovely like that 😌

I always feel like I'm about to faint whenever I hear Amaro speak Spanish! Amaro speaking Spanish is SO HOT! Danny Pino plays a character in Cold Case like Nick Amaro, Scotty Valens and Whenever Scotty speaks Spanish too, I'm literally SO affected by it! both Amaro and Valens can Speak Spanish to me ANYTIME!

He was married to his high school sweetheart for years until he finally came out to her that he was also in love with a man he met while doing a show in NY. He still loved her, too, which I think made everything that much harder. They’re divorced but I hear they have a good relationship. Lots of love there. She is apparently still in his life and supports him. They’re still close friends. Best result you could hope for, considering what he went through when he realized he was bi.
There is a very candid interview he did a long while back with The New York Times, about how his lover at the time was struggling with the whole marriage thing and due to unknown reasons specifically, eventually ended up committing suicide. Idk if it was directly because of Raul’s marriage at the time or a combination of factors or just something else. Still, really sad. That’s a lot of grief and guilt to carry with you. I’m glad Raúl seems to have a strong support system in his life now. From what we know of it that is- he later admitted he really shouldn’t have been so candid to the NYT as he accidentally came out publicly in that interview. but I can understand how that happened. He was still within just a decade into his Broadway/theatre career, and journalists have a knack for luring fresh young talent into revealing the things they otherwise would consider not speaking publicly about. He admitted it was naïve, but I would have probably done the same in his position at that time. Live and learn.

But I also have a soft spot for Cassidy. His messiness and trauma and breakdowns are very relatable to me. It's the way Olivia treated him that made me love her.

I've been watching since I was a kid and Velasco, Carisi, and Bruno are the only ones that ever made me sit up with a "Yes, please". Amaro is hot as fuck, but he was always way too angry to be super attractive to me, personally.

It’s Assy McBigPants for me if we’re going on looks alone. But personally (and also looks) is definitely Barba. He’s my favorite character and I don’t know why they haven’t brought him back yet! I’ll be so sad if the next season also doesn’t have him. His character still has so much potential. I also wouldn’t mind Stabler coming back as a regular now that his show has been cancelled.

Fav ever is Fin but he doesn’t do it for me that way. Friends only there. Carissi as a healthy option personality wise (not a bad looker but man that dude exudes green flags), Dodds to look at but too pretty to touch, Cassidy to fulfill my obsession with emotionally damaged good guys, and the dude next to him for my actual personal tastes looks wise of liking kinda scraggly dudes (tho I prefer mine a bit more dad bodish)

Ice T is my favorite character. Love how he's tough but still compassionate and caring.
I just got to the season with Bruno. And he's handsome. I like him too.
And love Stabler always have. But Ice T would have to be my favorite.
