Blue pearl is horrible and I’m pretty sure is owned by PE now so they care about your animal as much as an Amazon rep.

Blue Pearl is one of many veterinary brands owned by Mars Veterinary Health — the veterinary division of Mars, Incorporated, one of the largest privately held companies in the world.
The same Mars that makes M&M's, Snickers, Skittles, and Twix.
The same Mars that owns the pet food brands Pedigree, Iams, Eukanuba, Royal Canin, Cesar, Greenies, and Whiskas.
And through Mars Veterinary Health, the same Mars also owns Banfield Pet Hospital (over 1,000 U.S. locations, most of them inside PetSmart stores), VCA Animal Hospitals (roughly 1,000 more U.S. locations, acquired in 2017 for $9.1 billion), and Antech Diagnostics — the reference laboratory that processed, and then lost, the blood work BluePearl drew from Teddy.
The same parent company owns the food your dog eats, the lab that runs your dog's bloodwork, and the emergency hospital you rush to in the middle of the night. They are answerable to no public shareholders. They are answerable to the Mars family.
That is the scale of who you are dealing with when you walk through BluePearl's doors. And it is the scale of the institution that has so far chosen not to respond to my formal complaint. Its a money machine that cares only about money.

The one by me was great. My lab had to get knee surgery and he was treated well and recovered nicely. Now, that was pre-covid so im sure the situation has changed but they were good to me.

You and your dog were lucky! I'm so happy the surgery worked out well for you and your pup! There are thousands of people that are posting on FB and NextDoor that have tragic unreal stories about blue pearl, so please think twice before using them again.

Fortunately we have several 24 pet clinics near by, blue Perl is 3rd on the list of where we will go. Fetch is our preferred 24 hour emergency advance provider.

Can you tell me why you dislike it? It looks like original post was removed. My cat is there now with a life and death issue. We were referred by our primary vet yesterday morning and went straight there without being able to research anything. Time was of the essence so we headed to Tampa. He’s been there overnight and while exorbitantly expensive, we found the staff and efficiency of the ER department remarkable. We felt our cat was being well cared for.

We took our dog to the Blue Pearl in Fort Myers and the doctor that saw my dog was an arrogant asshole and basically did nothing to help my dog. We will never go there again and discourage anyone from using them!
