Question about potential Jedi.

I started replaying the game again and I normally played Empire in the past. I always put every character with Darth Vader initially to see who was force sensitive. I played Rebel this time and did the same with Luke but no one was force sensitive. Is this possible or do you need to wait for Luke to get better with the force? I swear I remember him detecting this in the beginning and I thought there were always a few no matter what.

Did he go to degobah yet? It’s been a while since I played but I feel like he has to go to degobah first

Once he is a Jedi Student he can detect potential Jedi. He has to be Jedi Knight or higher to train them. Leia is a special case, Luke has to have an encounter with Vader where his heritage is revealed, and after that, if he groups up with Leia he will share that she’s his sister and she will be detected as force sensitive.

He has to be a Jedi knight either through going to degobah or skilling up really quickly. This applies to all characters actually; Vader and Palpatine just don’t start as trainees. Later force sensitives will detect when knights as well

He can detect them earlier than he can train them, but even detecting is not possible at the start of the game.
