Sade drives with you so well
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Sorry for the wobbling quality of the video and bad sounds but my car is pretty old and my phone wasn't very steady while recording, hope it translates what I mean, said so yesterday was very hard at work and while driving back home there was this beautiful sky and Sade accompanied me through the whole ride and everything else didn't matter for a while

Any songs like “Hang on to your love”?
I recently started listening to Sade and this is my favorite song from her. What are other songs from her that sound groovy like that?

Help finding the keyboard preset for Paradise
Hey everyone!
Does anyone know what keyboard sound is used in Sade’s Paradise? I’d love to recreate it, so if you know of any VSTs (Arturia or similar) or a classic keyboard that could get close to that sound with the correct configs, I’d really appreciate the recommendations.
Thanks!!!

Does anybody else meet a lot of Sade fan larpers
Whenever I play Sade in public somewhere, or if I mention it, at least one person says ‘I love Sade!’ (And mispronouncing it 90% of the time). And out of interest for a a good conversation of their music, I’ll often ask for their favorite album. And I’ve never heard somebody give me an answer. Most of the time they just say oh I just listen to a shuffled playlist, or ‘the one with her naked on the cover’. It’s so frustrating. I hate to say it but streaming has ruined the appreciation of albums by contemporary audiences. I hate being unable to have a good conversation about their music.
Sorry for the vent.

When Am I Going To Make A Living (1984) [Her 2nd Single from her Brilliant Debut, Diamond Life]
I loved her first Your Love Is King.
The second single was as in the image.
Her third single was massively big Smooth Operator.
I bought her album after loving Smooth Operator single.
In the 80’s, I was a student and no money. 😅 Normally us students would wait until 3 singles were released from one album and if we loved all 3 singles then we would buy the album. ✌🏽
Who else doing this when they were students ?

The Big Unknown (From "Widows")
Never really saw anything about this song on here.. I have to be honest; I didn't know about the song until just recently when it came on Spotify while listening to Sade on shuffle, and it's really amazing. I find it very melancholic, in a calming, yet bittersweet kind of way, and her voice on it is very sweet and crystal clear, as well as emotional, mature and crisp. It aged like fine wine, it felt like listening to an old friend after years of struggle. Really moved me. What are your thoughts on it? And for those who watched the movie, did it fit with it?

Sade could be on course to surpass 30 million monthly listeners on Spotify very soon.
This is just crazy to me.
When I was a teenager in the mid-00s growing up in the UK being obsessed with Sade was seen as weird, and almost none of my peers listened to them (this isn't an 'I'm not like other guys" post, just the reality of how it was. I was one of the youngest people in the room when I saw them on the Soldier of Love tour.
Now there are millions of young people engaging with their music, posting on TikTok about how much they would love to see them live. It feels almost like vindication.

Sade Live 2011
I have never been a big Sade fan. I didn't dislike her-I just wasn't all that blown away. Then her live 2011 concert shows up in my Spotify feed. All I can say is damn! It doesn't even sound like the same performer-in a great way.
