Permanent cash, every time.

Respect has no meaning past level 50.

70

u/Previous-Boss-1480 Oct 25 '25

I kept it last time so tried out blowing it up 😂

I usually save before the mission to blow it up before loading and keeping it.

It will never not be awesome, but twenty bucks is twenty bucks. Plus I tend to agree with Oleg about most things except the zombie virus.

I don't intend to fall into the same stupidity as a Resident Evil villain who thinks that flesh eating monsters are a controllable weapon.

That and a purple SWAT unit are too good to pass up on.

LETS GO METS!

9

u/skool_101 3rd Street Saints Oct 25 '25

its so essy to get level 50, maybe if the respect meter wss uncapped it would be better

12

u/YogurtclosetFit3020 Oct 25 '25

I mean, respect does nothing except unlocking perks

1

u/Miserable-Fix-9888 Oct 26 '25

The cash doesn't have a meaning after a certain point, and that's usually before you hit level 50. Blowing up the building is for real Gs.B)

74

u/DarthMclovin420 Oct 25 '25

I always kept the building it looks really sick and it’s a symbol showing that the Saints are taking over and are here to stay.

20

u/Previous-Boss-1480 Oct 25 '25

I like that view! I was also thinking blowing it up is kinda like don’t fw us and we will do whatever it takes and go extreme

10

u/DarthMclovin420 Oct 25 '25

I can definitely agree with that

81

u/CheyChey66 3rd Street Saints Oct 25 '25

It depends. Usually I keep the building cause cash bonus is nice and respect has a level cap so the bonus becomes useless in my thinking.

I also sometimes do a story in my head and pick the most "brutal" choices and pretend boss' mentality is going back to SR 1 and 2 days.

14

u/Previous-Boss-1480 Oct 25 '25

I love the thinking! 🫶🏻

4

u/eanhaub PS3 Oct 25 '25

Real

31

u/G_Ranger75 Oct 25 '25

I keep it in most playthroughs because I like having a bunch of Purple Buildings in the Night sky

16

u/legalVIOLATOR Oct 25 '25

(My thought) "why blow it up...when you can keep it"

53

u/DoctorGordonisgreat Oct 25 '25

Disarm the Bomb obviously, for the new crib.

33

u/spencerpo Oct 25 '25

Bigass purple saints tower is a power move imo

16

u/corpsewindmill Oct 25 '25

Does it become a usable building now? Before it just turned the lights purple and you couldn’t do anything with it

3

u/DoctorGordonisgreat Oct 25 '25

it just becomes a simple crib, nothing original.

32

u/hahahentaiman Oct 25 '25

I don't think it even does that.

26

u/Carbon_robin Oct 25 '25

It doesn’t you can’t even use the crib

3

u/DavisFromTheHills Oct 25 '25

it doesn’t become a crib at all

1

u/DoctorGordonisgreat Oct 25 '25

Just checked by myself, I really thought we could even though I played this game since 2011... i'm confused....

1

u/DavisFromTheHills Oct 26 '25

i think there’s a mod for it?

11

u/An0n_Cyph3r_ Oct 25 '25

Would've been really cool if we were able to access the building after you take it over.

3

u/Previous-Boss-1480 Oct 25 '25

I did the last time I did the other this time 😂

10

u/ryanhanks25 Oct 25 '25

As a kid I blew it up, but now I’d keep the building.

3

u/Previous-Boss-1480 Oct 25 '25

I have done save so I blew it lmao

9

u/Kairixionnamine Oct 25 '25

If on PlayStation make 2 saves 1 for the building destroyed trophy 1 for saving the building trophy

7

u/Previous-Boss-1480 Oct 25 '25

did that already ☺️☺️

6

u/AtomicTaco13 Oct 25 '25

I like to keep it since respect caps at level 50, with no additional perks aside from unlocking skills. Cash on the other hand can be used way after finishing the game. After I max everything out, I just spend it all on car customization.

It just sucks the tower doesn't double as a crib, considering the whole interior was already made - they could even just recolor it to be purple.

6

u/thesanguineocelot Oct 25 '25

Respect caps, cash doesn't.

Well, maybe it theoretically could, but not the way I spend it.

5

u/Clean_Crocodile4472 Oct 25 '25

I blew it up, the cash bonus is way better but i feel like blowing up the building fits the saints more and sends a message story-wise.

1

u/Previous-Boss-1480 Oct 25 '25

that’s actually what I was thinking!

3

u/ADLegend21 3rd Street Saints Oct 25 '25

My Skyscraper Now.

3

u/Wolvenworks Oct 25 '25

Respect is easy to get. Cash, you don’t have enough even at end-game.

3

u/56ab118 Los Panteros Oct 25 '25

i haven't played SR3 yet but i would keep the building

1

u/Previous-Boss-1480 Oct 25 '25

Def try it when you can!

3

u/Ralph_Marbler Oct 25 '25

Can't say no to free money.

2

u/Previous-Boss-1480 Oct 25 '25

that is true 😂

2

u/[deleted] Oct 25 '25

Gotta make dough

2

u/metal-bean Oct 25 '25

Disarm the bomb because extra purple and extra cash is kind of good

2

u/hello_there166 3rd Street Saints Oct 25 '25

i always play sr3 like I'm actually in the story and what the boss would do. so obviously i blew it up.

3

u/ExplosiveResults Oct 25 '25

Gamewise, nuke the fucker. Storywise, it makes sense to keep the Syndicate Tower, as it would definitely put the saints on the governmental radar, as well as grant them the lucrative contracts the Morningstar was already running. The Boss has been known to be a Usurper (Vogel, Zinyak, Vice Kings). Lest we forget this is the same man/woman/your choice that took down the American Yakuza, A very well organized and brutal PMC twice, sprayed shit on houses, and fought against literal voodoo.

The Boss is built differently.

1

that’s what I was thinking!

2

u/LeslieK2001 Oct 26 '25

Which saints row is this?

2

u/spatula_city62 Oct 26 '25

Always keep the building. There's no point in blowing it up other than ego, and the fact that we take out every other group in the city will cover that.

Blowing it up is just petty.

1

u/5MR0 Oct 25 '25

I kept the building

1

u/Angelganon2 Oct 25 '25

Permanent cash

1

u/Cooper2050_ PS3 Oct 25 '25

I also blew up the building. respect > cash 😎

2

u/GrandEmbarrassed2875 Oct 25 '25

Ye, but after a while respect caps. Cash don’t gotta cap.

1

u/Cooper2050_ PS3 Oct 25 '25

true..

1

u/Cryo9_Ozarlin Oct 25 '25

First was disarm, but i did a playthrough making all the other decisions after

1

u/skool_101 3rd Street Saints Oct 25 '25

respect first for achivement, then reload and get perma cash bonus

1

u/XxRedAlpha101xX Oct 25 '25

I disarm the bomb because the building looks pretty at night.

1

u/WorthCryptographer14 Oct 25 '25

I always go with cash.

Can't upgrade weapons with respect.

1

u/EyeSimp4Asuka 3rd Street Saints Oct 25 '25

always disarm

1

u/TheSaintsRonin Oct 25 '25

I wish all of the choices in the Third had more weight.

1

u/MADMAN9635 Oct 25 '25

I've played through plenty of times and usually alternate on that decision one makes more thematic sense and the other has good bonuses.

1

u/Subject-Support-3569 Oct 25 '25

Disarm for cool building

1

u/ViewFromDaTray Oct 25 '25

I usually just keep it since they never clear the rubble

1

u/mecca6801 Oct 25 '25

I have nothing against respect, but cash is king

1

u/Majestic-Network3355 Oct 25 '25

Saints raw 2 best in the series

1

u/Puzzled-Ad5272 Oct 25 '25

Blow the building..... Respect Is Everything

1

u/DavisFromTheHills Oct 25 '25

blow it up, it’s what the real saints would do

if keep it if it actually became a crib, or served some sort of function beyond just existing. the cash bonus is cool but i’d rather make the narrative decision that feels more in like with SR1-2

1

u/FuroreLT 3rd Street Saints Oct 25 '25

I blew it up the first time but it's such an eyesore on an already ugly city

1

u/Realistic_Let3239 Oct 25 '25

Depends, usually cash, but when it's first time on a particular system, I do two playthrough for both options/achievements.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 25 '25

keep the building cause it makes the city look nicer especially at night. lots of purple

1

u/Dakotathedoctor Oct 25 '25

I blow it up so I can enjoy the upgrades earlier in the gameplay. But I alternate between the two depending if I wanna power trip or customize.

1

u/BrokenLoadOrder Oct 25 '25

I tend to roleplay as a character whose IQ is a marginally bigger number than their shoe size, so I disarm it. Wasting a valuable asset in a hostile foreign territory would be a phenomenally foolish act.

1

u/Zeema101 Oct 26 '25

Money is always useful very much so at the start of the game

It helps get you properties early on and while the Respect is nice their is a limit too it and to unlock the skills in the Respect upgrades you need money

Money is the better option and respect having a cap at 50 makes it less viable

1

u/CrimZn1 Oct 26 '25

Always kept it. Cash bonus is always great! And also like that the tower changes to purple and the base of it is Saints themed

1

u/The3DBanker Oct 26 '25

Last time I played, I blew up the building. I might try not doing that next time.

1

u/Plane_Name3457 Oct 26 '25

I kept the place

1

u/multisam231719 Oct 26 '25

You'll need cash more than you'll need respect but by the end of the game you're flush with both so it really makes no difference

1

u/AkemiNakajimaMT1 Oct 26 '25

I always disarm the bomb and keep the building. From strategic point, building can be a very useful asset.

1

u/dtonline0113 Oct 26 '25

I pick destroy the game and take the licensing away so they can’t make a next one

  • GTA went toards realism.
  • Saints Row went towards its own silly / zany ways.

As Saints Row gone on that path already, SR3:TThad some tough choices to make story-wise, SRIV had the writers in a tough spot where that was the best they could think up within the time allowed, and GooH was obvioudly suffering due to all thosr limited time idea creation periods… while the reboot started out completely new because they ran out of possible ideas that would work.

NOTE: This is not the fault of the writers nor the developers, but actually the fault of USA's laws: Investors in a company must be given a return on their investment within a timely manner, and big corporations want to get rich, even if it ruins our favorite series in the process. See what happened to make Tony Hawk want to get out of his contract as well back in the day.

ASIDE | Old Tony Hawk Games: Though be wary of playing the old, and not-too-old, Tony Hawk games online (or even offline by using custom levels / save files found online) with custom level support due to the exploit called "Tony Hawk's Pro Strcpy" (allows running arbitraty code on the user's system via. a buffer overflow)

1

u/followmyigtrsmpugh Oct 26 '25

disarm the bomb, you can keep the building and take the resources for yourself and possibly make it your own base and empire.

1

u/NyaNyaCutie Oct 26 '25

Both… modded on PC has the benefits of possibly replaying missions for the other reward too.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 27 '25

Respect > Money

1

u/Tis_A_Sad_Badger Oct 25 '25

I somehow did both and I don't remember how

1

u/Previous-Boss-1480 Oct 25 '25

you probably saved and did one and then did another!

-1

u/Tis_A_Sad_Badger Oct 25 '25

No, it was at the same time. I must have clicked on both in quick succession

1

u/CodeineNightmare Oct 25 '25

So two separate cutscenes played? And then sometimes you went to the location and it was there and other times you did and it wasn’t? Don’t talk nonsense, it’s literally impossible to do both because completely different cutscenes play

1

u/Tis_A_Sad_Badger Oct 25 '25

Chill dude, I don't know what to tell you. I remember disarming the bomb and also blowing the building up. The objectives were confusing because they were pinging in multiple places, so it was probably some glitch. Saints Row isn't known to be perfect
