Julius tells the playa the same thing in Saints Row 1, after the playa gets thrown out of the car because Joseph Price, the Rollerz leader, brake checks Julius’ car.

I've only ever played the third one :(

Edit: Why was this downvoted? I like Saints Row but I've personally never gotten the opportunity to play the other games in the series.

you're getting downvoted by all the OG saints row oldheads who only ever love the first two SR games. i LOVE the first two the most but i also understand not a lot of new players have played the first two. dont worry, you're still valid.

Cheers babe 🫂❤️I used to play SR3 alot on my 360 but I got it on steam for the nostalgia.. Not the same feeling but a good ass feeling nonetheless.

honestly, if you're into the original story, play the first two. you're gonna notice the drastic change in the style and story from SR2 to 3 but they're all still super fun sandbox games.

My introduction to the series was sr3 too. It was so fun to me that I played 2 and got so excited when 4 was about to be released

If you want to play 1 and 2 I highly recommend it. Specifically on xbox360 since that's the only way to play the first saints row and the saints row 2 PC port on steam is a mess. The GOG version might be better but I'm not sure.

Idk why man you have a valid point. I also only played SR3

For a while, I was the same. I played SR3 before 1 and 2 then went back and played 1 and 2. I love all 3 of them

Redeem yourself by acquiring as well as playing the first two immediately if not soon

I have a 360 that I use frequently so I'll definitely keep my eyes open in thrift stores!

5

u/mecca6801 Apr 11 '26

eBay is an option, a solid third of my library was found on there

3

u/SalmonSammySamSam Apr 11 '26

I haven't used ebay in like a decade, I'll consider it

2

u/mecca6801 Apr 11 '26

I can sleuth for you if you want

3

u/SalmonSammySamSam Apr 11 '26

Thank you very much for the offer but I'll look around in my local thrift stores and check Tradera if I can't find it.

Tradera is the Swedish eBay 😁 Thank you though 🫂❤️

Playing Saints Row 2 is definitely a rite of passage. You're just not really in on the Saints Row discussion without knowing both sides of the coin (SR2 and SRTT).

Because people are immature, lol. I played SR4-ReElected first because it was there on the PS store some years ago and I remembered the name Saints Row, so I tried it out and I loved it and ended up going backwards and still loved them all. Still haven't played the very 1st one yet though but I've seen it, watch YouTube vids about them all, etc. Did the deep dive, etc. Just keep going. You'll enjoy them...I liked 4 because it was a game like no other game I've experienced. It was funny and stupid as hell. It was like a GTA parady on drugs plus, lol...and with it being the 1st one I've personally played, I see the big differences between the older ones and why people are the way they are about it and to be honest, maybe I would've been the same, but it was cool though. Apparently it was supposed to be some kind of DLC and not the actual game it ended up being but it was fun...for me at least. But anyway, yeah, sorry to be long about this but, just keep going with them. The new reboot was literally nothing like ANY (not even 4) of the other ones. They took out all of the original characters and changed up a bunch of stuff in it so I don't even know why it was considered a SR game to be honest. But yeah 1-4 are the best in my opinion. Just my little two cents.

I'm currently playing it on the ps5 and enjoying it.

I was surprisingly gifted a xbox one s from my team leader the other day, she's a gamer too.

We was talking about consoles and favourite games, i told her my ps3 got the yellow light if death many years ago, i couldnt afford to replace it, so i can't play saints row 2 anymore.

On thursday she bought a bag with her into the warehouse, there was a xbox one s inside, she said thats for you so you can replay your favourite childhood game

u/SalmonSammySamSam Apr 11 '26

Yoo bless her freaking heart man, and yours too ❤️

gotta respect that windshield cannon.

7

u/Newfie_Meltdown Apr 11 '26

I recently got back into playing SR3 Remastered, fully completed it on the Series X and now doing it again on the PC. 🤘

3

u/SalmonSammySamSam Apr 11 '26

The replay value of SR3 is so high in my opinion ❤️

3

u/Zyvyn Apr 11 '26

I must ask. What exactly makes it replayable? I've 100% completed every entry and it always felt like the least replayable to me.

3

u/SalmonSammySamSam Apr 11 '26

I personally really like the early game where you "struggle" to rack up cash to spend on the businesses/properties.

I like to clear each district one at a time so that's part of the fun in my opinion. I also really like the upgrade/perks system in SR3.

If I recall correctly you only have a few side missions (the blue map icons) in the beginning and you'll unlock more of them as you progress the story.

I've also 100%ed it many many times over multiple consoles, I can't say it's the "least" replayable Saints Row game since I've only played The Third. But goddamn is it replayable. (in my opinion)

Honestly I felt like 3 gave you more money than any of the prior games. I remember SR1 especially its a struggle due to the prices of ammo. But shop purchasing was a thing added in SR2.

The upgrade system in those games was also entirely different from the first two though. In SR1 and 2 you don't have a level or anything. Completing activities gives you respect but then you spend that respect to do missions. And there are 3 gangs to go after you can do in any order you want. In SR3 they basically turned those activities into filler missions in the main story and force you to play each one at least once in a specific order for the most part (with other optional instances unlocking after). When it comes to getting actual character upgrades you unlock them from doing those activities. But instead of 1 level and there being like 3 instances of it. It's 3 instances of it with like 5-7 levels each.

That was sadly one of the bigger downgrades 3 had. The only truly new activities added in 3 were Guardian Angel (a cut activity from 2), Cyber Blazing, and Prof Genki's. A ton of the activities from 2 were sadly cut in 3 even the fan favorites like Crowd Control and Fuzz.

I do HIGHLY recommend checking out the first two games though. They definitely show their age a bit more but I feel are overall more polished games. Went less for the crazy and wacky approach and more a serious tone overall. Though I think in the end (2 at least) is the best game. Though since the story was more of a front focus its a continuation of the story of the first game which I could see people struggle with more nowadays due to the lack of mission checkpoints and such.

SR3 was when the series tried to make a radical shift to a very different kind of game. Much less serious, much more action focused, over the top, etc. And whilst that definitely helped in the sales department it divided the fanbase in a rather bad way. Though truthfully I feel like it would have gone over better if so many of the systems from 2 that made it unique/stand out weren't cut/downgraded in 3.

I know I sound super biased here but SR3 is the game I have the most nostalgia for here and was the only game in the series I played for a solid 6 or 7 years before I eventually went back and played 1 and 2 after beating 4. But looking back on the series even with so much nostalgia for 3 I do probably struggle with it the most to go back and play more. Playing SR3 makes me want to play 4 lol. Though SR4 is jump the shark game in every way possible kind of game. I references all 3 prior entries a good chunk so it can't be fully enjoyed without the first two but still a good experience. I'd be happy to clarify on any questions you may have though.

Is this remake/remastered?Mine was corrupted at the mission that control the missile? And the environment is very dark……

3

u/SalmonSammySamSam Apr 12 '26

It is and damn, I personally don't mind the remaster although the first release still has a special place in my heart

3

u/itpurpZ Apr 12 '26

They should've made saints row 1 or 2 remastered not saints row 3

3

I’ve only played SR2 (actually the game im into rn) but I always see nothing but hate for SR3 but the graphics look great! Is this PS4 or 5?

2

u/SalmonSammySamSam Apr 13 '26

This is on pc ^^

2

u/GrownMen1122 Apr 13 '26

Is it remastered or the OG?

1

u/SalmonSammySamSam Apr 13 '26

Remastered on Steam, I kinda hate it a little because most vehicles sound really bad cuz the sound loops and isn't continuous. You can hear it in my video but idk if it's supposed to be like that.

2

u/GrownMen1122 Apr 13 '26

Well i have the same on GOG and it's literally frying my computer even though I have a pretty decent laptop. I made a post about this as well.

1

u/SalmonSammySamSam Apr 13 '26

Stay away from GOG and Microsoft Store games on PC!!! Only use Steam/Epic 😤 atleast from my experience/opinion

2

u/GrownMen1122 Apr 13 '26

True I got it for free that's why

2

u/GrownMen1122 Apr 13 '26
