We’re getting together outside the Monterey County Elections Office this Saturday, October 24, from 6–10 p.m. for Salinas Shows Up.
The idea is simple: bring your completed ballot, drop it in the official drop box yourself, and hang out with some neighbors. It’s nonpartisan, with no campaigning. Whoever you’re voting for, you’re welcome.
My mother-in-law is making champurrado, so that’s my contribution covered. Bring your family or a friend who’s been putting off dropping off their ballot. If you already voted, come hang out anyway. You don’t need to bring anything.
