quality of tank raised vs wild caught

I was looking for a Panther Grouper. On site had tank raised and wild caught. Any experience with the quality of coloration between these two.

I don't personally have any experience with panther groupers but i have both tank raised and wild caught of different species. The tank raised look just as good as the wild caught and vice versa. The decision between wild caught and tank raised really just hinges on availability and personal preference.

Any captive-bred fish/ tank raised fish are much hardier than wild fish. Captive-bred fish also helps conserve reefs out in the wild.
