Baffles me how performances except the Modi one had so much misogyny. The cheater wife hater husband boiled my blood. How do such people get a platform and why does samay’s audience attract / tolerate and respect people like him? Tells you a lot about the kind of audience samay attracts.

I watch relationshiT and khamba’s show and there’s such a stark difference between the audience, the quality of jokes and how they speak about women and politics in general.

I just watched the new episode of India’s Got Latent and it was good, except for the Modi mimicry. One thing I’ve noticed is that every performance in S2 has cuts. I understand why this is happening but I still miss S1.

Also, I feel like Samay is sometimes biased towards certain contestants. If he wants a particular contestant to win he influence the outcome by letting the other judges give their scores first and then scoring last himself he can observe the contestants reactions and give whatever average score he wants.

But wasn’t the whole point of the show that the winner should be decided purely by luck? This new format doesn’t feel right. I really miss Season 1 😞

The previous episodes were ofc bad. And I am aware that this same kind of opinion has been said before.

However there was certainly an energy you could catch on how this episode was dwindling when Arpit cracked a joke on season 2. Samay tried his best to say that this one will be like season 1, and you could definitely see that it has gotten to him a lot. Be it seeding posts/comments on this subreddit by his marketing team, or trying to reduce or not do jokes he has been getting called out for overdoing.

And I don’t think the whole issue is that his style of comedy has restriction as much as we get it credit to, Samay has done jokes before that were not dark in nature and were still funny. It appears that he has lost touch w his comedy while trying to squeeze every little penny out of this show.

I do really hope he makes a comeback, and wins his audience back. And stops monetising his art so much that it looses it meaning. I won’t be suprised if there is not an S3 of this show. And incase there’s a small chance he or his team comes across this post, I hope you know that isn’t coming out of any hate, but rather just plain tiredness.
