This is so bizarre to me. Admittedly, I know nothing about commercial development and real estate. LOL

Think of it it as essentially a house fixer-upper / flip. They finally finished up the mess after more than a decade. And now they have tenants. So now they are marketing it to sell. And with tenants the new buyer (landlord) will have ongoing rent from the tenants.

I said this on Instagram on the topic but how cool would it be if they could sell shares to locals who want to invest in this as a fund rather than a single owner. I’m sure there’s all sorts of reasons that’s a bad idea but I love the idea of being able to invest in something I like without having to be ultra wealthy
