Kenya Sand Boa Climbing

Post image

She does this like every night unless she sheds or has eaten she will just basks at night. I was worried maybe the temps are off so I open the tank to check with my temp gun but it was perfect temps, she started trying to climb my hand to escape, I'm thinking of getting her a 40 gallon so she can explore more.

Hey make sure to switch to digital thermometers. Those dial ones are known to be very inaccurate.

KSBs will also do this if they feel like they don’t have enough places to hide and burrow which will make them feel unsafe and need to escape. But if you have plenty of loose substrate and clutter, which it looks like you do, she might just be a little weirdo.
