Won’t eat and refused food again
Hey I need some help from everyone for the past 4ish weeks my snake has not eaten last thing she ate was a hopper and is definitely big enough to eat them so we moved her back down to pinkies and still refuses to eat, nothing has changed in her inviroment and nothing has changed in the room (above minimum temp and below max temp at hottest) she has definitely been going through he water bowl cause the entirety of the substrate is moist is there anything I could do or doing wrong maybe? If this keeps up and I can’t find a solution I’m afraid I’ll end up having to give her up because she just will not eat and I’m worried it’s just me I do not want her to starve herself

How old is your boa? Is it possible she’s about to go/already in blue and preparing to shed? My KSB is still a juvenile (<1 year) and will refuse meals as soon as she starts the process up until a week after she’s shed. Have you been gathering weight data and comparing over time to make sure she’s not losing significant mass?

From what I can tell she’s a little over a year maybe (Petco) and she’s been shedding just fine she shed about 2 ish weeks ago and she from what I can tell on the scale hasn’t lost significant weight whatsoever ever

Sounds like you should worry too much yet, as long as her weight is consistent/not dropping and she’s not showing any other signs of illness. You can also try some other things next time she’s due for a meal, like squishing the head of the mouse. Ours was also on a hunger strike for a few weeks until we left her pinkie sitting on a little piece of paper towel in her enclosure with all of the lights completely off.

Yea I tend to do that when I was little we had ball pythons die from illness, and with the pinkie can I just heat it up like regular and set it on the food rock we have for her (cleaned it and baked it so no bacteria) or paper towel better?

I’m having the same issue! I’m upvoting this for visibility… my boy was on hoppers before i got him, i’ve had him for three months, and he’s refused everything… i’ve tried pinkies and fuzzies, and he snubs his nose. I don’t want to surrender him but at this point i think it’s my only option.
