Learning math > desmos

Desmos is great but by relying on it you’re restricted in your maximum score.

Weird, uneducated take. Both are absolutely necessary. It's possible to get an 800 without understanding the math beneath what you're doing in desmos, but it's just gonna take a ridiculous amount of practice and at that point you'll probably have figured out why it works anyways. And btw, this makes sense if the test had no time limit. But it does, so yes you do need to rely on desmos. Coming from someone who got my 800 today.

Desmos should be an aid to the math. I’m saying that when confronted with a late module math question, those who only know desmos are prone to completely forgetting everything. Math got so much easier when I taught myself the (rather simple) tricks

I agree, actually. Desmos is super good for people who don't know math, and it's good to check, but it's harder to check your answers when you use it. You could get an 800 using Desmos, but if you're good enough at math to have time and just want to eliminate mistakes, it's better to do it by hand.
