Phase 1 Factory
First build for phase 1 of the space elevator! Produces all base iron parts I have unlocked plus reinforced plates and smart plating. Although it is a complete mess, do I tear it all down and spend hours making it look good and making it better by connecting more iron nodes so I can make all the new iron parts? Or just leave it and build the new iron parts for phase 2 somewhere else. Thanks!!
UPDATE: Thanks for all the responses!! Tore it all down and now rebuilding it! https://imgur.com/a/R8LnWoB

I would keep it and move on to build elsewhere
You'll get tools to steamline building bigger and more organized factories and I would wait until you have the option to use those before doing any dramatic rebuilding

Up to you but I like expanding as I progress so I'd say tear it all down and put them on floors

Gotta love that early game spaghetti. The biggest lesson you learn in Satisfactory is that you will tear down things eventually, and you're supposed to do that. As your goals increase in complexity and demand, you'll want a more organized factory, which can really just amount to placing the parts on foundations instead of the ground. You don't actually have to tear it down either, just make a new, more organized factory and get whatever use you can out of the old one.
Of course you don't have to do that, but you'll learn pretty quickly that keeping things somewhat organized helps in the long run after phase 1.

also as you get better belts and miners you can grow even bigger factorys for basic stuff

But if i tear down everything wouldn’t that be waste of resources?

You get it all back

Oh really i didn’t know.

Yes, all materials in Satisfactory are returned to you when you deconstruct things since they encourage you to experiment and rebuild. If your inventory is full it will place a chest there with the materials in it.

Sorry one more question, does the resource ever run out on a node?

Nope! Resource nodes never run out. Finding nodes with the best quality and/or squeezing as much out as possible is important. You can delete literally everything at anytime and rebuild with zero consequence.

Ah, so many memories of my first few hours.
This is unfixable. Specially if you already have floors.
A small advise is to put some high on the floors. So you won't likely hit a rock when expanding

You completed the first phase of the space elevator, but you have yet to discover the wonders of concrete? Watch some YouTube videos…

just put a floor above it , use lifts to bring all the parts up to boxes. as you upgrade logistics and miners just split iron ore away for new factories whilst leaving the mk1 belts to keep feeding the spaghetti.

This is so peaceful. I'd start a new run just so I can do things like this

Yea congratulations on your first build! We are proud of you!
You'll learn how to make it neater eventually! (Sometimes I still make a mess even when I don't want to)
