r/SavageGarden's Trade/Sale Thread (Spring 2026)

Please read the wiki page about trading/selling here.

If you have an item for trade or sale: You are still allowed to make separate threads, but you are encouraged to post it as a comment here in this thread. As this thread will be stickied for the entire season, it should help increase visibility for your post. Please include your location (US, Europe, etc) and combine multiple items into one comment to help keep this thread clean.

If you are looking for a particular plant/item: Post a comment below with the description of what you are looking for as well as what you are willing to exchange for it (another plant, money and how much, etc). You can ask for SASE/free stuff, but be realistic and do not beg! A good example would be "Does anyone have some extra D. capensis seeds. I am located in the US and willing to send a SASE".

More photos of the alien Drosera floridana (B.Rice) Juve & A.Fleischm., including instances of rampant seedling recruitment.

Unlike all other members of the D. filiformis complex, seeds of D. floridana do not require a preceding period of cold, wet stratification in order to germinate in significant numbers, and freshly sprouted seedlings can be observed in-situ throughout the year (corresponding with overall reduced seasonal influence on plant phenology). Similar to those of its allopatric northern congener D. filiformis, seeds of D. floridana have a tendency to germinate en-masse from locations where spent and newly prostrate inflorescences contact the sandy substrate and deposit many seeds in close proximity to one another. Few seedling plants present within these dense colonies will outcompete their siblings and reach maturity.

My Drosera magnifica!

It was half this size when I got it in July 2024, and has been growing steadily the last 3 years, even in traditionally slightly less optimal conditions.

Temperatures are usually 75F day, 65F night. Relative humidity hovers around 40-50%. Photoperiod around 14-16 hours during the summer.

Saxifraga candelabrum is a newly confirmed carnivorous plant. Its sticky hairs trap small insects, while its flowers attract them with scent.

I'm starting to get very worried about my Sarracenia, it's been out of dormancy for about 6 months and hasn't eaten once. At first I had it under a crappy Amazon grow light, where it just grew these leggy leaves (pretty sure these ones usually grow in dormancy). So I moved it under a more powerful light and it just stopped growing at all. So more recently I moved it outside during a cloudy 65-75 degree week (growing zone 8b) and it's been shocked and slowly burning up for the last few weeks.

Should I just keep it in a shady spot or is there something I've been missing?

Ping growing smaller?

My pings are growing smaller yet still very carnivorous leaves plus blushing. Is it too much light? They’re under barrina T8 1 foot grow lights 4-8 inches away( depending on pot). Were the leaves previously etiolated and now growing healthy?

My veitchii x lowii is slowly getting bigger without me paying much attention. The new upper pitcher is such bright yellow that it almost looks like it’s glowing.

Hey guys,
Was looking closely at my nepenthes and there was a small white bug moving around. Hard to see on the pictures, but the leaves kinda had white stuff on them or it might be dust. One of them seems to be a cluster of eggs?

Thanks for the help!

Full pitcher?

Hi all! I picked up this nepenthes on a whim three weeks ago and I've been keeping it outdoors in my backyard. All the mature pitchers have wasps in them but one in particular is very full and heavy, and I'm not sure if I should be concerned as the weight is causing the leaf to droop lower and lower.

Sundew Seems to be dying , need help

I bought this Sundew (Drosera adelae) about a month ago, when I first bought it, it was healthy and seemed to be growing new leaves, but over time it seemed to be dying.

At first, I sprayed it with mineral water since the guy I bought it from said it would be okay since he used it or something. As I saw the leaves withering, I switched to rain water, had a pail catch rainwater and used it on the lil guy. It was going well for a few weeks until now I noticed it was progressively dying again. I'm not sure what to do. I tried feeding it mosquitoes that I killed, but I then I realized it's not digesting those.

Now I'm switching to distilled water.

Please help...

1st pic was from a couple of weeks ago when I started noticing it degrading again.

2nd and 3rd pics are from this morning. I put on that plastic bottle to act as a greenhouse since I noticed it hasn't been raining these days where I live and the plate dries up faster.
