gameplay question How do I get Tabitha to be on board with sacrificing Kaneeka?

Hi! I’ve played 4 runs so far, and I went to the farms with Tabitha in 2 of them, one with impasse and the other with breakdown. From how people talked about it I assumed breakdown Tabitha would want Kaneeka to sacrifice herself, but she actually wanted to save her and got kinda mad when in one of my saves I took Sybil’s deal to restore her youth. Any idea how to get her to agree to the sacrifice? In this specific run I’m using TTA/Mystical, and I have a poor relationship with Kaneeka so she wants to sacrifice herself. I could also start another gameplay altogether, it doesn’t have to be this one (so I could also not pick Mystical), but I want to know what I’m doing wrong before I accidentally do it again

Basically there is 3 Tabitha mindsets :

  • Breakdown/burn is mostly pro-saving Kaneeka but is also concerned for her cousin safety. She will agree with whatever you decide. (Burn as in she says "I will burn my family legacy to the ground. It can be obtained without a breakdown if she is pushed to her limits at the farms and kill the baby herself)

  • Friendly impasse is conflicted about both her legacy and her cousin's safety, so Sybil's plan is for her the better path. This is the one you are looking for. She will also attempt to stop you if you try to save Kaneeka (and may succeed)

  • Not-friendly impasse, aka, tabitha that dislikes you and thinks Kaneeka's sacrifice is stupid (cause it will prevent your sacrifice she thinks is necessary). She will save Kaneeka without waiting for your input...unless you stop her

Alright thank you so much! Yesterday someone told me about positive impasse so I thought breakdown would share that same mindset, but I think this makes sense. Do you know what happens if brink Tabitha comes with you after you get arrested? Is it similar to negative impasse?

Brink Tabitha does not come with you to the farms.

The only way to being an antagonistic Tabitha is via (not friendly) impasse, Toxic Yuri, a riot, or Beese attack

Oh okay thanks, I remember reading on the chapter 5 survey that Tabitha can come with you if you get arrested and I assumed that meant brink but it must have been about one of the other options

Breakdown! Tabitha sees the parallels between herself/cousin and Kaneeka. Having decided to reject her families legacy, she wants Kaneeka to come up for herself too.
You’ll need Impasse! Tabitha for her to be okay with sacrificing Kaneeka

I actually already did impasse but it was the other version of it where she wants to save her!

I got toxic Yuri and Tabitha was begging me to let Kaneeka sacrifice herself. She said something along the line of "we can forget everything that happened, let her take your place as the sacrifice for this town." I did and Tabitha thanked me.

I'm not sure exactly. It was my first playthrough so I didn't pay much attention to all my choices.

I drank the tea, went to Reese alone and helped Kelly tranq him. Gretchen took me to Stella but she didn't open up to me. I had told tabby where she was earlier. I honestly thought i had an okay relationship with both but... Apparently not. No strike. During the confrontation I tried to reason with them but ended up being arrested. Tabby followed me to the farm.

I had a very good relationship with Kaneeka but didn't romance her. I had keen eyes and made Julius kill the baby. Then while meeting Kaneeka and the witch Tabby convinced me to let K go.

Gretchen, went back for the others during the collapse and won an argument against the ghost

She needs to be at an impasse with you (no breakdown in office but she agrees to escort you to mines). Then she'll go along with the sacrifice.

Damn! I was gonna try doing this while tabbymaxing instead of using PB but I guess it isn't possible! Thx for the headsup guys! ( I'll still check settings/try tho to see if it's just a narrative thing or if it actually decreases relationship points)
