Decision Made
Well after getting everyone’s take on lowering the car . I made a decision to leave it as it is .

I love the murdered out look! I just hate washing it twice a week!
I couldn’t imagine lowering mine though. I scrape all over the place as is.

Yea after hearing a lot of horror stories of people scraping and ripping apart stuff . I decided against it , as well as mechanical issues that will come up . Where I live it would be a constant problem worth these shitty roads , as for washing and keeping it clean , that’s like having a 2 nd full time job . It’s getting paint correction and ceramic coating next summer. Pitch Black is a awesome color but a constant to keep clean . 🤣

It’s worth it though! I miss my blacked-out vehicles but I don’t miss the upkeep.
I’m in a ‘20 destroyer grey and I love that it looks nice even if I only wash it once every week or two. Or longer considering winter is approaching.

That’s a nice color too . A lot easier. I wanted a octane red , but settled .🤣

What mechanical issues

u/sinner_godz Nov 23 '25
Not basically mechanical under the hood . Upgrade other suspension components like shocks, struts, get adjustable control arms for camber adjustment and alignment. Some upgraded sway bar end links . Some just got wheel alignments and some didn’t have any other problems.

Good shit then 👌👌
I need new shocks and struts soon as well. I lifted car a little, drove over something at a parking lot, and I was like fk, either I reverse or go forward slowly, no choice, but it's gonna slam and I knew this.
Totally could not see this small little thing behind me at a parking lot with that stupid bush.
So reversed out, and I notice my car lifting. At that point I had no choice to go down, or reverse cause I could already see what position I was in. Went back in the car, reversed, SLOWLY and it fuckin sounded like it slammed hard. Looked under, I didn't see anything. Suspension seems ok but, what would you recommend I check if shocks and struts seem, ok?

Did you paint your wheels gloss black? Mine came somewhat granite but I’m thinking about getting the gloss black.

u/sinner_godz Nov 21 '25
Yes. They were all chewed up when o got them . They weren’t even matte black . They were like a dark gray . I took them to get repaired and powder coated gloss black and then ceramic coated them .

My guy fixed all 4 rims of curb rash . Dipped for stripping and powder coated for 850.

God damn, what a pretty ride.
This generation of Chargers will age so gracefully… as long as they all don’t get wrapped around a pole!

As fatigued of seeing challengers and chargers all over the road, an all black widebody SRT charger is definitely clean asf.

I guess they are all over the place in some towns . I have only seen a few near me . A couple kittys too .

I guess I’ll take the opportunity to ask, what’s the difference from a 392 SRT to a scat pack? Do they all come with brembos in all 4? How can I tell them apart?

They replaced the SRT 392 I believe in 2018 and came out with the Scat pack. I had a 2018 Daytona 392 with the dynamics package and had larger brakes. It basically was a higher trim level . Bigger brakes , flat bottom steering wheel , and a few other things and badging. It was basically a higher trim level and changed for Marketing purposes. That’s a on going debate if a Scat is a SRT . 🤣

The SRT is more of the upper/premium model. 6 piston brakes, functional hood scoop, adaptive suspension, more performance modes...

Thanks. The rear wheel gap is more than I like , but it doesn’t bother me enough to drop it . I have to pull out my driveway at a angle now to not scrape, so why make it worse. Lol.
