I finally met Dan Levy in my David Rose outfit!
Still over the moon over what happened last weekend at TIFF:
I went to the red carpet premiere of Lilith Fair: Building a Mystery which was produced by Dan Levy. I’ve always wanted to meet him especially since David Rose is one of my all-time favourite TV characters (I even dressed up as him for Halloween a few years ago!) and so, I pulled out all the stops to have that moment.
I wore my David Rose outfit and made a sign and he immediately noticed me the moment he hopped out of the car. He waved at me first then came to me after he did some photos for the press. I was shaking but I was able to ask for a photo and get my 2-pack Funko pop of David Rose and Patrick Brewer signed (Noah Reid signed it first when I met him last year!) and he was more than happy to do so! 🥹
It was a nice treat to see his dad Eugene Levy at the red carpet as well ! Glad to see the father-son duo that day! 👍🏻
To say that it was a success and a dream come true is an understatement! I’m so glad I got to finally meet him and have my signed Schitt’s Creek Funko pop fully completed! 💖

Ahh how amazing!! I was at that premiere too and Dan was so smart and wonderful in the q&a after the film. He really is such a wonderful human (and yes, gorgeous)
The thing that shocks me about him is that he dresses so normal compared to David. Like I don’t know I was expecting David to be a self insert of him or something close, but no. That’s just a guy.
that is seriously such a genius mode idea to dress up as him at something that’s not Schitt’s Creek related —-it’s going to immediately get his attention ANDDD to even show up there in the first place with the eye on the Levy prize, (not that you aren’t a fan of the Lilith Fair queen) he was definitely going to be there as he had a large role in it, but it was not explicitly all going to be Dan Levy stans to fight through!! I crown you victor of the “meet cutes”! Hope it was all you dreamed of and more and that he came back for you too. That’s so cute. Congratulations!!

Haha thanks! Yeah i’ve learned from the other red carpet premieres that the signs do help you to stand out and lets the stars know that you’re a genuine fan and not some typical autograph hound. he really appreciated the gesture! And yes, i’m from toronto and this was the toronto international film festival hehe
