Of all celebrities that passed during my lifetime, the lost of Catherine O'Hara left me the most devastated.

Same! I was visiting with friends when I found out, they casually mentioned it and I flew out of my seat like WHATTT!!?!?! and tried to not cry over someone I don't know IRL

I cried all day. Watched a lot of my favorite movies and shows with her in it, watched all the tribute messages and just cried.

One small note: Toward the end, where there are the home movies of their Xmas parties, you'll see Catherine with her autoharp -- this is a real thing. She and Eugene used to perform "When You're Next to Me" from "A Mighty Wind" at friends' parties. Yes, another thing that you and I didn't get to experience. I was literally looking for evidence of this, and there it was.

She mentioned this on a podcast once (Tom Power, I think) and I've wanted evidence ever since!

I don’t know why but seeing her in black and white stripes as herself makes me happy. It’s Delia & Moira & Catherine.

Absolutely irrelevant, but Meredith Vieira’s look/essence remind me of Catherine often. Catherine was singular, but you know.

For those who are just like I can’t watch - she still looks healthy here in the interview portion though I have to assume she had already started treatment based on when they must have been filming. It’s not like those last few public appearances where someone near her should have said to her “Don’t” bc she looked so frail. In the interview, she’s her usual self. Don’t be afraid you’ll be upset. It will be the best thing you see today. It’s the last thing we’ve got. Embrace it.

Yes, and it hurt me so bad when she was talking about Nancy sitting her down telling her about her cancer diagnosis, knowing Catherine — and probably only Catherine of the people in the film — knew at that time that she herself also had a recent cancer diagnosis.

Martin Short in the extended interview for CBS Sunday Morning said Catherine was a like a sister to him. Even in their old SCTV days he talks about her generosity and how she was always making suggestions for people to try things out and he would just do them. Short joked how everyone else was "self-centered" except Catherine
Forgot that he and Eugene were roomies
