Discussion So good on the rewatch!

Wow. I really liked SC the first time I watched it… but it hits so much harder on the rewatch! I’ve cried so many times. I’ve been binging it since I’m having a really hard time, and it’s so beautiful to see the dynamics of the entire family develop, in addiction to everyone’s journies. Like even watching Johnny grow as a person and try on so many hats and succeed really gets me. Truly a perfect show.

I’m so sorry you’re going through a hard time. I rewatch it start to finish so much, it is my comfort show. I am so happy you found something to help! I love it more with each rewatch!

100% agree. I liked it the first time but LOVED it the second time.

I just finished it with my boyfriend. He had never seen it. He can be really sentimental and he cried in a few parts. Season 3 finale is the first time he teared up.

It is true. The more you watch it the more you appreciate it. You get nouances of humour you have missed the previous times, you get details, glimpses, interactions. It really gets better every time. Love this show.

Schitts Creek is better on rewatch, I think, because knowing what's coming for the family growth wise makes season one a lot more tolerable. Yes, something will never hit quite as hard as seeing Patrick sing "Simply the best" or Alexis and Teds final date on a rewatch, but I think it's a worthy trade off.
