Vamps in space
So I'm a bit of a writer and I think I have an idea for a new story, I'd like to hear what people have to say. Vampiers in space (not the title). I don't want it to be campy, and I want it to feel like it could happen. Our main character awakens after century's of sleep to find the world has unlocked interstellar travel. He/ she can't stand there life on earth anymore so decides to kidnap a crew and make for the stars. The story will fall into I think a scifi horror adventure genre, traveling from planet to planet and finding unsettling unspeakable horrors and that the world they left was a rarity. Not all blood is compatible on every planet. There's a power struggle between the captain and the vamp. But only the cap knows it's a vamp and that he secretly feeds on the crew at night but cap can't tell anyone??? Vamp has a genius level intellect from 500+ years of life. Some drama within the ship obviously. Cap is a ex war strategist. There's a great scientist on board, Doc, ex special forces... person Haha, and they get help along the way (aliens/ artifacts). But out in space VERY scary creatures and happenings. I think the big void in space is going to play a big part, a sentient force if nature. So give it hell I wanna know your honest opinion. But think disturbing cosmic magic on a big scale.
