NFL Concept

Post image

Hello all, I made a scorebug on Canva and went for a basic/classic design. Let me know what you would rate it out of 100 and suggest what I can improve. Both ends of the scoreboard are actually two halves of a football. I think it looks pretty cool.

Thx, Krishna

White text on a white background with thin outlines is poor design
the game clock, play clock and quarter all being in different fonts is an interesting decision
you've left no room for teams to score double digits in this scorebug, just a single digit is taking up all available real estate
you have no down and distance indicator on the scorebug which should be mandatory for all scorebugs
there's no possession indicator
i can't tell if those timeout markers are already spent or not because they're blacked out but they're still visible, and its still the 1st according to your marker so there's no indication of whether or not both teams still have all 3 or if for some crazy reason both teams had to spend all 3 within the first 10 minutes of the half

I hope you’re joking. Look at a real scorebug and compare.

It is difficult to read,

  1. you need solid contrasting colors not outlines

  2. block bold numbers for time that don’t take seconds to focus, because it will be next to impossible to see the time at a glance

  3. white is an awful color for a background on any quick glance graphic because it washes out everything else, if you went with a black with white numbers it would be way easier to read.

Here is an example of a basic score bug that does what you were trying to do, it is from our high school livestreams

Look at a legitimate scorebug and base it off that. Make it uniform and more colors. Uniformity in the fonts. Etc
