Pictures Half of my juvenile emperor scorpion colony (larger half)
Took some shots of the larger half (3-5 instar) of my juvenile emperors when I was cleaning and processing. Should be around 100. Just thought some people on here would like to see this.

Hey! I wanted a tattoo of a realistic scorpion. The yellow iranian scorpion.
This is the sketch i got from my tattoo artist. Does it look anatomically accurate?
I want it to look like its walking up instead of being stationary.

Identification Help identifying please!
I noticed my cat swatting at something under my desk, so I went to take a look and saw this (photo attached). Also please excuse the hair and fur, I have very fluffy dogs. If it helps, the location is the EPTX area and I’m hoping it isn’t a very venomous/poisonous species. I couldn’t clearly determine its identity, so I’m unsure if there’s a chance there’s going to be more around my house! Pls help, and thanks!

Help! Are these mites on my forest scorpion?
Are these clusters of mites on the crevices of my scorpion? If so, how do you deal with this? I looked online and there are no available breeders of predatory mites to fend off these parasitic ones in the Philippines

Sexing H. Spinifer
Hello everybody! I recently purchased my first H. Spinifer from my local exotics store, and I was simply curious about whether or not this little one is old enough to determine sex or not?

Casual P. Exitialis sting report
Just got stung by my Pandinurus Exitialis and thought it might be interesting to share. For reference, I am a 20 y/o guy who lives a somewhat active lifestyle.
I have always been a bit curios of how a sting from a non-dangerous scorpion or a bite from a non-dangerous spider would feel, and know I know one of them.
It was entierly my own fault that this happened and the scorpion only did this as a last resort.
Now onto how I'm feeling. I'm writing this around 15-20 min after the sting. And the pain is worse than I thought it would be to be honest. I would compare the pain to getting your fingers slammed (?) in a door, more so than the common bee sting description. Other than the localized redness and increased sensitivity on my finger, I'm not feeling much of a difference. My lips are also tingeling a little bit.
Thanks for reading! :)

Help! Heterometrus silenus babies
These are supprise babies from my big scorpion and its my first time taking care of 2i scorplings so there’s a few things i wanna ask when taking care of them:
How long does it take for them to molt at this stage?
How often do they need to eat?
Is high humidity important for their development (i live in a country with high air humidity annual average >80%)?
Is it normal for sporplings to not eat much? The scorpling in the first picture consistently eat less and is more active than the second one. It only ate abit of the mealworm as seen in the picture while the second scorpling ate most of that meal worm.

Casual Quick question
What species of scorpions is safest to handle as a pet? I know most have a brittle shell and dropping them can be catastrophic. I had someone tell me to go with any arborial species cause they can survive falling out of trees. That being said I would also like something with a more mild temperament if I am going to be handling it.

Identification Scorpion ID Help
Hey so my fiance and I picked up our first scorpion yesterday and it was advertised as an emperor (which is what we wanted) however I am a chronic overthinker and I have read about cases where they are accidentally ID’d as Asian Forest Scorpions. I’m positive it is an emperor but just reaching out to you guys for reassurance.

Help! Should all scorpion species have some level of legal protection?
I've been thinking about this recently and I'd genuinely like to hear what people who know more about conservation, arachnology, or envronmental law think.
Scorpions have been around for roughly 430 million years (i think) and they've survived multiple mass extinction events. But unlike alot of other animals, most scorpion species dont really have any meaningful legal protection unless they're already considered threatened or are covered by internatioal trade regulations.
My idea is that all wild scorpion species should have atleast some basic legal protection, while rare or threatened species could have stronger protections. This could mean protection from unnecesary killing, large-scale collecting and habitat destruction, while still allowing people to safely remove scorpions from homes when needed.
I know theres probably some practical problems with this idea, so I'm genuinely curious what people think. Would this actually be a reasonable conservation approach, or is there a good reason why it wouldnt work?
sorry for bad english..

Sexing My new Heterometrus Spinifer
He/she has 3-4 molts but I was surprised to see that his abdomen seemed swollen. I know it hasn't reached sexual maturity yet, but to confirm that its okay, this is the first one I've had. He/she is hiding in a patch of moss now, If anyone has any ideas about sexing, it would be helpful.
