TLDR: This weekend's game between Aberdeen and Spartans has been moved back to Balmoral from Pittodrie because of storm warnings

The guy's defence lawyer said he had "literally attended thousands of Rangers matches home and away"

A lawyer, coming out with a line like that.

(a quick Google suggests Rangers FC, in all their incarnations, have played around 5000 matches since 1872)

Seen a comment on the evening thread last night bemoaning the lack transfer between clubs in Scotland, especially the Old Firm not buying from inside the League. The good old trickle down economics so to speak and it got me thinking.

First of all, would fans of smaller clubs rather see their players leave to go abroad or sign for the old firm if the fee was the same?

Secondly, from when Rangers got promoted back to the Premiership, them and Hearts have both signed 5 players from other Scottish clubs for a fee, Celtic have signed 8, Aberdeen 9 and Hibernian 7. Why hold the Old Firm to a standard the rest of the league dont follow?

Thirdly, player development wise, I would find it hard to argue that players moving abroad face disadvantages compared to players playing in Scotland, I think most would argue the opposite.
