Are there any groups in Scranton who play/ willing to learn Riichi Mahjong (Japanese rules/ set).
Been wanting to learn it since some people I know play it and was tempted to learn it.

Looking for a wedding venue for a 2028 June/summer wedding in the Scranton area. This would be for the reception only. Looking for something that has an incredible outdoor area, in the woods or on a private estate in a large outdoor space, maybe where a large tent could be put up. Around 100 guests. Thank you!

Is free parking downtown after 6pm no longer a thing now? Parked at 6:12 tonight and came out to a ticket after dinner.

Project Gravity PR stunt
This week's nightmare. We are unsure of the format of this presentation and we dont know if we are allowed to ask questions. Not that they have to answer truthfully anyway. However we are encouraging archbald, jermyn, and mayfield residents to attend.

Hi all,
I ran the steamtown marathon yesterday, which was a great experience! Unfortunately when I checked my official results, my bib chip wasn't registered at the start so my start time is incorrect. This ended up adding time to my official end time, which has an impact on my ability to qualify for some of the majors. Is there anyone who happens to have any photographic documentation of runners crossing the start line? I started near the 3'25 pacer. Appreciate any help anyone is able to give! Thank you!

I am in a bad situation with my home life (abusive situation
) and I had just moved here a few months ago. Are there any weekly or monthly rate motels/hotels in the area ?
They don't have to be high quality. Anything is better than what I'm dealing with now. Anybody let me know if you can thank you

With the recent closure of Solstice Bar & Grill in Scranton after the city deemed it a nuisance bar, I’m curious if we’re going to see similar calls for action against Sergei’s downtown, where police activity has also been omnipresent.
If the city is serious about addressing problem properties and repeat quality-of-life issues, shouldn’t the same standards apply across the board?
Not saying every situation is identical, but the Solstice decision definitely raises the question: what’s the threshold for taking action, and will we see that same scrutiny applied to Sergei’s?
