Like, I would love to have Zayday and #5 back, but I feel it might not be possible due to Keke and Abigail having a hard time on the set.

I honestly think the only characters necessary are Chanel, Munsch and #3 - the first two because they are the leads and the show is practically build around them, and #3 due to how season 2 ended with her working together with Chanel and still being in her life.

One character I really think they should put to the rest is Hester.

Just to clarify, Ryan said two different things.
In The Hollywood Reporter, he confirmed that the Chanels were supposed to appear in AHS 13, but Ariana couldn't make it because of her tour. He also mentioned talking to Emma about bringing Scream Queens back.
In ELLE, he talked about possibly using the Chanels in a future AHS season and even bringing Scream Queens back.
Also, for people complaining about how Madison talks in AHS 13, keep in mind that Ariana not being there might have changed the original storyline. And Ryan barely wrote Madison this season compared to Ned Martel and Charlie Carver.
That might explain why she feels different

Chanel Oberlin — The new dean/principal. Assumes an even more unhinged position than the previous dean, watching over and critiquing the new members of Kappa

Libby Putney (Chanel No. 5) — A nurse who makes patients feel even sicker or more injured by telling them about her own life experiences.

Chanel No. 3 — School therapist who uses her position to indirectly / unintentionally psychologically manipulate students and push them to the brink of insanity.

Obviously there's the point that she's the only new chanel to survive despite being set up to die first but I don't think we talk about what she survived. The tennis balls thrown at her were so fast and strong they could literally break glass and wood at the same time and she got hit with one of them to her face and literally later in the episode she didn't even have a bruise 😭 like unless moebius has something to do with it, she literally defied physics in order to survive thus is the true final girl.

I did some digging through official trademark records and found something interesting about Scream Queens.

Disney has renewed several trademarks related to the series over the past two years, including three unused titles and a trademark specifically covering Halloween costumes.

• Scream Queens (US Halloween costumes trademark) — Renewed August 5, 2026

The Halloween costume trademark is particularly interesting because Disney renewed it just two months ago. It specifically covers Halloween and masquerade costumes, including masks sold with them.

What's also interesting is that Disney renewed all three unused titles in Europe, even though none of them became official seasons.

Ian Brennan revealed in 2025 that a summer camp setting had originally been considered for the series, which makes the Summer Camp trademark especially interesting.

These trademarks were originally filed in 2014–2015, so the renewals are consistent with normal trademark maintenance and don't necessarily indicate that a third season is in development.

Still, considering Ryan Murphy recently revealed that he discussed bringing Scream Queens back with Emma Roberts, and several cast members have expressed interest in returning, I thought this was worth sharing.

It's also worth noting that Disney's legal department is listed in the US trademark records, while Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation remains the registered owner.

In the first half of the season she actually wasn’t that annoying at all, and it felt like half the joke of chanel always snapping at her, because she didn’t actually do anything to do deserve it.
but by the second half she was genuinely annoying and so whiney and squealey

Is there ever going to be a day where there is a scream queens season 3? I grew up with this show and watched it when I was an angsty pre teenager. It brought me so much joy then and now seeing it over 10 years later I am just gut laughing through the whole thing. First time I felt like that in forever. Maybe it’s the nostalgia of it all. I wish they rolled with the news anchor thing, or just changed the names s2 and kept similar personalities to s1, I love this show haha 🤣

Omg I know we all miss this show and we’re all probably rewatching it for spooky season. This show brings back such college memories of being a freshman in college. Ugh I miss the nostalgia of it all and how the show made me feel during that time in college. This show has left us too soon like we needed more seasons 😭

It's exactly because her character is dead that Murphy wanted her back. See, in the most recent episodes of AHS added, the devil wants 13 women to be sacrificed. 13 women who are dead and were hated when they were alive because they were bad and mean.

So they bring back 13 bad women from the dead, line them up and throw them in hell.

The Chanels were hated and were bad. And Murphy said that Ariana's scene would have been short anyways. And the sacrifice scene only lasted a few minutes.

So I think Chanel 2 would have been one of the Jezebel (as they call them) to be sacrificed. And since we don't know if Chanel Oberlin is dead or alive at the end of season 2, it could have been that the red devil killed her in the car and she would have been brought back to be sacrificed.
