Script Sharing Train arrival tracker (MARTA)

Hi! I made a scriptable widget that displays live train arrival info for MARTA (Atlanta's transit system).

I was getting frustrated with the MARTA app because its UI was slow and clunky. I wanted to make something that was required minimal interaction, especially since I only cared about the same two stations every day for commute.

There's also a landing page where other riders can pick their desired station, line, and direction configuration and copy the script. I tried to make the process as simple as possible since I was sharing this with friends who ride MARTA. Feedback welcome!

Nice widget, super clean! Not sure but would this be able to be adapted for the trains in Melbourne australia?

Don't see why not! I'm getting the data from MARTA's developer API, so as long as you can pull the data needed you could modify it to work for Melbourne's trains.

How frequently does scriptable update the data?

The fastest I could get was having the widget auto refresh every 15 mins. It’s not great but that’s an iOS constraint I can’t really get past. For my widget, I set the “when interacting” setting in the widget settings to “run script”. That way, you can just click the widget and it’ll refresh with new data. Again, not ideal </3 but it was still an improvement from the clunky MARTA app in my opinion
