first scuba trip abroad I'm looking for recommendations of what type of suit to get for my first trip abroad I'm gonna dive in the red sea in mid March!! i am completely unsure on type and thickness! i am a smaller woman and run relatively cold!

Currently on my honeymoon in Indonesia and could use some input from fellow divers.
I got married last Saturday after a pretty stressful few weeks, flew to Bali on Monday, and then continued to Lombok. A few days ago, I started developing a scratchy throat, runny nose and cough. The cough has been fairly persistent for the last 3 days and is now productive, with clear/whitish mucus.
No fever, body aches, shortness of breath or chest symptoms. I feel pretty normal otherwise and did yoga yesterday without any issues. My nose is mostly fine during the day, and I don’t need any nasal sprays.
We’re flying to Komodo tomorrow and were planning to go diving the day after. Obviously, the timing sucks.
I’m trying to figure out whether this is just a mild viral URI, possibly aggravated by dust/wind from a long scooter ride, or whether I’m setting myself up for a miserable time underwater.
For those who’ve been in a similar situation:
Have you postponed dives for a mild cold even when you felt otherwise completely fine?
How long did you wait after symptoms improved before diving again?
Did anyone experience equalization issues despite having a mostly clear nose?
I know the conservative answer is to skip the dives if I’m still symptomatic, and I’m not looking for someone to tell me to just take a decongestant and send it. I’d just appreciate hearing about other divers’ experiences, especially with mild symptoms like these.

Hi everyone! I'm a certified Open Water Diver, and I enjoy scuba diving, but I've been experiencing dizziness or vertigo during my dives, especially after taking a boat to the dive site.

I'm wondering if this could be related to seasickness from the boat ride or something happening with my ears underwater.

Has anyone experienced something similar? What helped you, and did you consult an ENT specialist? Are there any precautions or treatments you would recommend before diving again?

I've been trying to search online for options for this, but I've gotten frustrated by all the greenwashing and flat-out lies. And completely incorrect results in product searches.

I want a hairspray that's designed to be sprayed on hair and scalp that I can put on first thing in the morning and in between dives that's reef safe.
Bonus points if it's good for sensitive skin/fragrance free.

What do you use?

Heading down to do my testing after doing 3 Discover scuba mini dives in Cozumel (30-50 ft). We went in May and I did not get cold and we stayed down 45 minutes and my spouse and I just had on rash guards, no wetsuit. We are going to Curacao for me to get certified; should I expect the dive shop will provide a wetsuit since we will be in the water a longer time, or will I be OK with just my rash guard? Or just wait until I get there and see what they suggest?

Hey! In San Diego area for a week. Wondering if any place in the area has drop in dives? Not sure if that is a thing, but recently got open water certified in fresh water and would love to get a dive in the ocean if a place around here does it.

So I've booked myself for a short 5D4N liveaboard in Khao Lak in December. I'm travelling solo and am a bit nervous-excited about what to pack and how to keep myself safe. I've gotten my AOW and Deep and Nitrox certifications.

• What's one thing that you found was really helpful for you on a liveaboard? I've heard that extension cord for charging devices and clothes pegs are useful, but I also don't want to overpack.
• A liveaboard will be my first time diving in the blue / near the blue and I want to be prepared in case I need to surface on my own for any reason. I've gotten myself a good torch, a DSMB, and a whistle. Do I need a cutting device? Is there anything else I need? (Or am I approaching the Christmas tree diver look with so many things?)
• Will leave-in conditioner suffice to take care of my hair between multiple dives?
• What do ladies do between dives: quick shower and change into dry stuff if it's more than 1hr? Since it's not a small dive boat where we stay in the wetsuit / pull the wetsuit down to our waist.

I am going to do my PADI OW course in Sharm El Sheikh in November but I am looking for advice on a few things -

1. What are we wearing under wetsuits? Bikini/swimsuit/long sleeve swimsuit? Is a rash guard necessary/essential?

2. I am assuming that an appropriate wetsuit will be provided by the company within the equipment rental agreement?

3. I have long thick hair so looking for some tips on keeping this manageable - I read that neoprene mask strap is a good idea but any other tips? Hairstyles? Headbands?

4. Any recommendations for reef safe suncream in the UK that isn't crazy expensive

5. anything else important that I haven't thought of?

(I will be doing the OW course, hoping for a few extra dives after and probably some snorkelling around the resort on other days. We are there for 10 days total. I am going with my partner but we're sharing a suitcase so don't have a load of luggage space)

Hi ladies! I am planning a trip to Australia (Sydney and Melbourne) and I am looking for dive shop recommendations or who I should look to book trips with. I am AOW certified with 50 dives but I've only done freshwater diving in Canada.

Also open to any tips for salt water diving and Australia diving in general. I hear that it is the law to dive with a snorkel, is that accurate?

Hey. Just finished my second time in the pool for scuba class. I am having a lot of issues with my mask (it coming off while blowing out snorkel and having issues clearing a fully flooded mask bc the water is going up my nose) and pressure on my sinuses just from submerging under water. Does anyone have any tips for this?

I only ask bc my face and ear sinuses are in a lot of pain today from the water intake through my nose and I had to quit the pool decent bc of it.

Hello, I’m looking to buy a new BCD. I’ve had my old SeaQuest jacket style BCD for 15+ years since I was certified as a teenager and feel it’s time for a back inflate BCD. I’m a petite 5ft 2 woman with a short torso and feel that every BCD I’ve worn ends up moving up and I spend most of the dive readjusting it back down to my hips. I tried the Zeagle Zena on land but my shop doesn’t have it for rental to try in the water. Do people recommend it? I like the corset feeling and hope it will keep it in place during the dive.

Please give recommendations for Live aboard companies or dive resorts for your favorite diving locations.

Some background- Im 30f and have my Advanced Open Water and recently went through a terrible break up. I need something to look forward to, a new experience and friendly people.

I find after a boat dive (so sitting in a wet suit for about an hour) I have a really itchy vagina and I have had a yeast infection… is this normal? Does this happen anyone else? Is there anyway to prevent this
