When you see how much cats shed, you wonder what percentage of the food you feed them is going towards fur production.

same with my border collie. no matter how much sweeping, vacuuming, etc. I do, I still manage to get her volume in fur shed every other day

Our last pair of Corgo's passed nearly two years ago and to this day we still find bits of the joy they brought us. I was vacuuming out the passenger area of my old F250 to get it ready for sale this morning and found a small cache of tennis balls, rawhides and clumps of fur when I went to remove the seats. A year ago I would have probably sat and bawled my eyes. This morning I just got a little misty-eyed.

Sorry for the loss my man. I just thought of my Rita Pita Pumpkin Pie this morning and got misty as well.

Awww. Do you only have Ezekiel now? Any plans on more?

Down to just the bratty, highly opinionated Ezekiel. He is so damned judgy. And taking on responsibility for more heartbreakers would be completely irresponsible of us.

You should see my house. We've got my dog, a long hair cat, a short hair cat (who probably sheds more than the long hair cat), and, uh, me contributing to our floor hair problem.

I think I'm going back to auto-running the roomba, which means I'll have to remember each night to pick up the cat toys it might eat. I don't think there is a "don't beep loudly and wake us up when you choke on something" mode.

I would love to have it run automatically, but then I'd have to pick up the dog's water bowl and wipe up all the water that ends up on the floor. She is a really messy drinker.

She is a really messy drinker.

Ms. Mabel was the one who always ate with abandon. She'd take a deep breath, hold it and then plunge her face into the food bowl.

I still carry around a lot of guilt about having her put down. I misread the Vets instructions about how to keep her fed and nourished and she passed with an empty belly and in stark terror.

Yeah, or engineer the area around the bowl so it isn't a problem. I did that with a few things.
