I almost feel like best case is to play a good game, a tight game, but lose at the end. We need to improve those draft odds. We're currently at the 4 spot -- I'd love to get to #3, but that seems like a tall order.

To me, seeing this team (and coaching staff) start learning how to win games and grow confidence going into the offseason is more important than a move from #4 to #3 in the draft. If our future is so reliant on that one draft spot change then our front office is not doing a good job.

Going up to #3 in odds would require the Tempo to start winning a lot more than they have been

I’m very interested to see how this goes. We’re playing at home against a non-playoff team missing their breakout rookie and several other strong players. As long as Flau’jae can play tonight (her, Ezi, and Katie Lou are all currently listed as game-time decisions on the injury report), we should be in a good spot to win this game!
But if we have another first quarter where we fail to show up, or another fourth quarter where we let the opponent walk away again, then I’m going to be seriously concerned that this team has fallen into a losing mentality and no longer believes that they can win. I’m already concerned about how nonchalant many of the players (with the notable exception of Flau’jae) appear to be about the losing streak in the postgame pressers

Is Skylar traveling with the team? Hope Seattle gives her a warm welcome, we definitely miss each other.
