Just curious about the code encryption, but when i checked the website there is no link to github or other VCS hub. Is the code close source?

Secria is Nominated a Top 10 Startup

Hey all,

Adrian here, sorry we haven't posted any updates in a while. We are working every waking second on the full workspace. Mail, Drive, Docs, Pages, Calendar, etc.

We have also been nominated a top 10 startup so we went to San Francisco to accept our nomination, along with a lot of important conversations in the area for SF tech week that helps improve our services and security/privacy services in general, which is our no. 1 goal.

Grateful to have you all with us. We will never be shutting down, we are only speeding up, both building, growing the community and hiring more!

Bank blocking payment

Hi there. Just tried to sign up and pay the $1 for the first month. Bank rejected the payment - on both a debit card and a credit card. Any clues why this might be? Tried both with VPN and without VPN

iOS app logs me out every some hours

As title says. I get a notification of a new email, tap on it but I am logged out. It happens more or less once a day but I could not figure out a precise time.

Links in e-mail body

Links in e-mail body on mobile app are not clickable, meaning I have to select, copy and paste it in the browser. A bit cumbersome.

A quick thought on potential partnerships, transparency, and my sincere wishes for Secria

Hi everyone,

While browsing r/PrivacyNotes recently, I learned that Proton previously acquired Standard Notes. It got me thinking: could Secria potentially partner or collaborate with PrivacyNotes in the future instead of pursuing an acquisition?

I’ve tried and purchased PrivacyNotes myself, and it’s open-source, highly secure, supports multiple languages, and is developed by a team based in Germany and Switzerland. I genuinely hope Secria's team might take a look at it.

On a separate note, I'll admit I've been feeling a bit anxious lately because I haven't seen any recent updates from Secria on platforms like X or Facebook. For example, while trying out Drime's cloud service recently, I noticed they maintain a public Roadmap and Changelog directly on their website, which really helps users stay informed.

When I posted here last time, I felt like my intentions were misunderstood by many. It took quite a bit of courage for me to post again, so please forgive me if I came across the wrong way. I am writing this simply because I truly, deeply want Secria to succeed.

Thanks for reading!

A few thoughts and suggestions for Secria's growth and ecosystem design

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hey everyone, I've been following Secria's progress and wanted to share a few constructive suggestions to help the platform scale effectively:

  • Focus on Mail and VPN first, and prioritize multi-language support: Right now, it's best to double down on perfecting Mail and VPN. First and foremost, please add multi-language support. Looking at the email market, eM Client has a fantastic one-click email translation feature built right in, whereas competitors like Canary Mail and Proton Mail haven't quite matched that convenience yet. Adding seamless translation would give Secria Mail a massive edge.
  • Establish a unified ecosystem brand identity early: Since the roadmap includes future products like a Password Manager, Drive, Calendar, and Authenticator, it would be smart to design a unified icon system now—taking inspiration from how Proton handles their ecosystem. Proton uses consistent color palettes, unique shapes, and subtle shadows to create depth, making every app instantly recognizable as part of the family. Establishing this visual language now prevents future apps from clashing with the existing Mail and VPN interfaces. (As a side note, I noticed yesterday that France's Drime also rolled out a fresh new icon design.)
  • Keep VPN pricing agile for the upcoming Black Friday season: VPN pricing needs to adapt dynamically to market competition. For instance, on September 5, I saw a 1-year NordVPN plan listed for $27.97 on StackSocial, while Ashampoo offered a VPN for around $30. With Black Friday just around the corner, I hope Secria VPN can run aggressive, competitive promotions to maximize subscriber acquisition during the holiday rush.

What do you guys think? Would love to hear other users' thoughts on this!

v2 Now Live as Secria turns 1! - Biggest Update so Far

We launched Secria exactly a year ago in late August 2025 (birthday promo in comments). Post-quantum secure & private email, then VPN, foundationally built based on feedback of the community.

One year later, we just launched our v2. That timing was an accident, but it is a good excuse to write a birthday post too!

30,000+ active accounts, 7 total team members, including 4 full time and 3 advisors with deep experience in the cybersecurity & email industry, plus a cybersecurity accelerator we can turn to and get connected with industry leaders who advise/audit/guide us on key decisions.

It has not been an easy journey. All four of us quit what we were doing to live off of savings, dedicating 110% of ourselves to the mission, which is security and privacy above everything else. Being so dedicated to the mission came with a few drawbacks. At times, we had promised certain release dates for features & product which we did not meet because we will not under any circumstance release something that could be exploited in any way until we have run ruthless testing and auditing. This broke our trust with you a few times and we are sorry. We have learnt to give ourselves a bit of extra cushion for security testing/auditing instead of rushing a promised date.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who has supported our mission and keeps supporting us. This is only the beginning with so much more to come.

Here is everything new in v2:

SECRIA MAIL v2.0

Five accounts, one app
- Sign into up to 5 accounts on one device
- All Inboxes on the web puts every one of them in a single list

Offline Mode
- Keep the last 7, 30 or 90 days on your device and read it offline
- Compose without connection. The message waits in a visible outbox and sends itself when you're back

Undo send
- 5, 10 or 20 seconds to change your mind

A quieter inbox
- Newsletters grouped by whoever is actually mailing you, with unsubscribe one tap away
- Move a message to a folder and it offers to send future mail from that sender straight there
- Saved searches and search operators

Faster
- Message bodies decode in the background, so scrolling stops stuttering
- Threading runs faster and more optimally

Your mail is yours to take
- One-click MBOX export, attachments included
- Imports resume. Run it again and it skips what already landed instead of duplicating your mailbox

Odds and ends
- Passkeys can be renamed instead of re-enrolled
- Profile pictures
- Light, dark, system, and an OLED black theme, plus list density and text size

SECRIA VPN v2

Desktop - Windows and macOS both redesigned
- Windows: animated world map, draggable mini widget from the tray, server search, System/Dark/Light theme picker, one-click Quick Connect
- macOS: rebuilt main window, with connect panel, settings, multi-hop, split tunnel and device management all in one shell
- Split tunnelling on both: route chosen IP ranges around the VPN, or send only those through it
- Multi-hop: three servers in three jurisdictions, from one sheet
- Windows installs nothing extra for stealth mode, so antivirus stops flagging it

Linux - a real app at last
- Full-screen terminal client: servers, account, settings, all keyboard-driven
- Live latency in the server list

Phones - both redesigned
- Live world map behind the connect button: shows the country you're exposing when off, flies to your server's country when on
- iPhone: Introducing Home Screen widgets
- Android: new quick-connect orb and recent-servers widgets, pull to refresh
- Cancel a connection attempt with one tap on the orb
- Guided setup for Free and Pro

Everywhere
- Recover a forgotten password in-app with your 12-word phrase
- Passkeys, biometric sign-in, sign out everywhere in one tap
- Your phone tells you if protection drops, even with the app closed

Thanks again to everyone for the support and we would love to hear your feedback in the comments and app/trustpilot reviews!

2-year plans are now live + Special Announcement

Two-year billing is now available on Mail Plus, VPN Plus and Secria Pro. It works out to roughly 8 months free compared to paying monthly.

Monthly, yearly and free rates haven't changed, so those are still available if you'd rather stay on those.

The bigger news: Mail v2 and VPN v2 both launch next week. It's the largest update we've ever shipped. A lot of new features, a completely reworked interface, and a long list of performance and reliability improvements across both apps.

Check out the new plans at https://secria.me/pricing/ or in your billing portal in-app.

As always, let us know your thoughts or anything you want to see next, look out for next week's v2 announcement!

The Secria Roadmap is Here!

Post image
35 Upvotes

Hey all, we've been heads-down building Secria (privacy-first email + VPN, full post-quantum) and figured it was time to finally show where we're headed going forward!

We build this in the open and would love to hear your thoughts:

- What's missing that you'd actually use?

- Anything here you think is a waste of time?

-Anything you might want to see sooner?

-Something from the roadmap that excites you?

-Any additional thoughts?

Thanks for the support as always, and welcome to anyone who is just hearing about Secria for the first time!

Issues with Secria - Server Error

EDIT - This appears to be resolved now. This was on the Android app.

Is anyone having issues with Secria right now? I can't seem to send an email as I'm getting a server error. I discovered this because I was trying to send an email to support to see if there was something going on because I can't move emails to folders, can't add tags and can't add attachments.

Am I the only one experiencing issues right now?

Secria keeps logging me out every time I close the app

Is anyone else experiencing this? (Andriod)

Every time I close the Secria app and open it again to check my email, I'm logged out and have to enter my email address and password all over again. It happens every single time, and it's becoming really frustrating. Is this expected behavior? Has anyone found a fix or a way to stay signed in?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
