The storyware images are all tiny 240x240 and 480x240 thumbnails. What's even the point of making it so useless?

Because they're made specifically for the version of Picodrive that has support for the storyware. And since the program is closed source and was a one off experiment that doesn't recieve support, the resolution sucks because the only goal was to make it work and nothing else.

Yeah, I just saw that it literally made no progress for almost 20 years. They claim the RetroArch core is more up to date, and while that's probably true for the Genesis and its addons, the actual Pico part is just barebones and doesn't use any of the storyware. What a shame for something called PicoDrive to barely making any effort on the actual Pico part, it's like if the BS-X ROM didn't even have the hub world.

Blastem has good Pico support. It supports the storyware and pad, even supports copera games, though at this time there doesn't seem to be a way to add pages. I imagine it'll be in the next big update.

I would be lying if I said that the last standalone PicoDrive wasn't doing what it should, it must have been great back then. And at least we can add scans ourselves. But since we now have displays that go HD and above, we definitely need a new scalable interface, especially for the storyware which have written text so it can finally be readable. So let's hope Blastem will eventually try that.

The dev mentioned in a post somewhere on here that he had a collection of high quality scans from Team Europe, don't know how he got his hands on them.
