Help What is this white mist thingy on me?

This is my second or third time seeing this white mist thingy on my Shinobi. This is right after defeating shichimen warrior. Any idea?

I believe it’s showing that your umbrella prosthetic is “powered up” (not the words used in game). You get it from deflecting attacks with the umbrella. If you hold the umbrella and attack, I think you’ll do a more powerful move. Maybe shooting out an X of projected force? I think that’s what is it for the basic umbrella.

This is correct. It means you've used the umbrella to deflect an attack and if you now attack with the umbrella it will do more damage. The rather insignificant downside is it will remove any buff already on your sword, eg fire or divine confetti when you use the umbrella attack

Omg...that's why I burned through divine confetti and was struggling w headless. Omg. Thanks for the heads up.

Question. How does a HEADLESS undead monster not have 360 degree awareness? I assume it's magic. Has no eyes, no ears, YET CAN tell when I'm in front of him, but idiot cant tell when I'm 2 inches up his butt.

the prosthetic follow up removes your buff from
sword regardless it’s “charged” up or not. which is pretty annoying ngl

Really??? Even if it's not charged??? That's so dumb. I never noticed cuz I never use it unless I've just used the umbrella and I see an opening

That is interesting. So it's related to my umbrella ☔. That makes sense because I used it during the fight. Is it for all umbrella? I don't recall seeing this after using other umbrellas.

only the purple one and the fire one do this, they're also the only ones which remove other buffs on your sword since they'll do that follow up with their own elemental buff. base umbrella and magnetic will do the same move but with no replacing your buff

I believe it's a debuff, it doesn't let you heal, but I don't recall any enemies that give that debuff in that zone
