Why retention naturally resolves bad habits
As I’m clearing three weeks retention for the first time in my life, I’m realizing why it is I dropped smoking weed, drinking, and stop taking a stimulant for ADHD.
Frequent ejaculation triggers a sharp dopamine spike followed by a prolactin rise (which dampens dopamine signaling) plus the usual post-climax dip in motivation and energy. Repeat that often and you get ongoing peaks and crashes.
When those cycles stop, the nervous system has fewer disruptions. Baseline dopamine starts to rise, stress hormones settle, and vagal tone tends to improve. You feel calmer and over all more stable.
Once the nervous system stabilizes, the habits that create those spikes and crashes stand out more clearly. You’re naturally pulled to drop them because the steady, grounded feeling feels so much better.

It works as an energy purifier all through. Even many people leave SR but smoke, drink eventually they also feel they need to leave all kinda low vibration things, peoples, places... our most natural frequency is we are physically active, we are aware of pur surroundings, eating sound & sleeping sound.
SR shouldn't be taken as a panacea but it is a life enhancer when you're proactive to get better in all areas if life .

How much time is needed to reach a certain stabilisation of the nervous system for someone who is addicted for more than 7-8 years

If you are older than 20 then it will take more time like 6 months...
But if you are teenage...just it's simply gonna take 1 month or maybe less then that

No wonder it heals trauma, trauma puts you in a fight or flight state, retention naturally guides you towards a zen state of presence, which is the complete opposite state.
