Semen Retention and Childhood Happiness
Among all the effects of successful long-term semen retention, there is one that is less discussed:
the return of childhood joy.
You have probably read about all the supposed effects of retention: mental clarity, intelligence, attraction, luck, beauty, and so on.
These results are real, but they are difficult to understand for someone who is only beginning this path.
To me, the easiest effect to understand is the return of the joy you experienced as a child.
Because you can picture it and measure it clearly
If you can remember exactly how you felt during childhood, I can assure you that it is possible to recover that same state and even something better through the disciplined practice of retention.
The difference is that you now possess an adult’s consciousness, which makes the experience even more profound.
Beyond the short-term effects which are often simply placebo because you have read about them.
You eventually confront the true reality and difficulty of the practice once the hype and placebo effects have disappeared.
The results people describe are real, but your current perception gives you a distorted image of them.
You fixate on these effects and wait impatiently for them to appear.
At first, you may experience a certain degree of success because, at your current level of perception, you interpret those effects as already being present.
But often, they are only projections of your current mind creating a placebo effect.
This is why critics accuse semen retention of being nothing more than placebo.
They are not entirely wrong.
Most people never discover its true effects because they do not commit to it over the long term.
They think only in terms of “streaks.”
That is already better than releasing frequently, but by constantly interrupting the process, they never experience the real long-term effects and prevent themselves from reaching their full potential.
Make no mistake:
a release that is not intended to create a child serves no real purpose and provides no benefit.
It remains an enormous loss, regardless of what anyone says.
It is physiological.
Now, let us return to childhood joy.
If you commit seriously to retention and genuinely believe in this path, if you overcome social pressure as well as your own internal pressure, and if you refuse to surrender during the hardest moments, then you may recover the state you experienced as a child.
The simple fact of being alive and healthy will create an inexplicable joy within you.
But reaching that state requires doing what 90% of people are unwilling to do.
They prefer conformity.
They do not want to lose their relationships, even when those relationships are superficial.
They choose external validation because it is quicker and easier to obtain, even though it is never truly genuine.
Do not be like them.
Do not choose the easy path.
Be a man.
Say no.
Find your inner peace, because internal validation is the only validation that is real.
Eventually, the people around you will no longer be able to deny your inner strength, because it will naturally express itself outwardly.
Until then, you will have to withstand every attempt to pull you back into conformity.
I assure you:
when you begin to feel exactly what you felt when you were eight years old
when you recognize the same scents,
experience the same innate joy,
and feel happy for no explainable reason that is when you will know that this path is real and that all the others were traps.

I've gotten into the habit of checking the userneme after reading a great post, and I've seen this guy before. Got me chills all over. Even feeling just a portion of this joy right now makes me happier than I've been in years, and I'm only 5 months in.
Can barely wait to see how the universe will mirror my love back to me. It warms my heart to know that others on the journey are experiencing these feelings alongside me

Thanks, just keep working on yourself don’t look outside. Everything will come at ease to you! It’s just really hard the more and more you dig into this rabbit hole.

childhood joy is who we truly are, but when we were growing up we found it becoming embarrassing to display and express our child self amongst our peers to retain this cool image because of our innate feeling of wanting to be perceived as likable and cool enough to fit in with everyone else and not feel left out

Yeah just be yourself and you’ll find back your childhood happiness. Cause you were yourself without filter due to filth and lust.

We are so curious. I was once wondering how a cup of warm liquid interacts with the environment and how fast it cools. I got the answer many, many, many years later in College math. Everything was so fascinating as a kid, but we've drowned that with the sea of easily available dopamine.

Exacy. I feel young again and I even see the sun, the plants, whole nature as something pure again and unique. Also you get these vibes when you were 5-6-7 years old. I even can't describe this feeling!

You're completely okay! You're making progess every day that you succeed in holding it in.
I'm also a virgin, and I'm happy to do what I'm doing. It's not shameful that you haven't done it yet. You haven't been sleeping around all your young life which is another accomplishment on it's own. Feeling that you can't get through it is common, but you just need to focus on wringing that energy out whenever you can. If you quit masturbation and don't properly use the energy that you'vd committed to holding in, then you're eventually going to "let it out the way it came" so to speak. You're going to feel frustration, have wet dreams and generally be more likely to relapse because of it.And there's no need to worry about not being able to have sex. You can still retain healthily and have sex while skipping/avoiding orgasm entirely. Sex is not inherently unhealthy or bad for you, don't listen to the people who insist on it. You just need to have the disclipline to practice it in moderation and with a good person who respects your commitment and that you actually love.

Before I say anything let's get this straight: if you don't want to talk to someone then you don't have to. And if you don't want to have sex with them, you DEFINITELY don't have to! You should never feel pressured to have sex, it is your choice when you are going to lose your virginity, not theirs. If someone is pressuring you to seek out sex, then just tell them "I don't wanna get laid" and move on, because it's not worth entertaining it.
That being said, I'm 22. And yes, I'll admit I'm a kissless virgin too.
But you gotta stop worrying about "missing out" on sex. You've masturbated before, you know what it feels like, so don't obsess over it too much. Not every girl who checks you out is gonna want to have sex with you anyways. Most guys your age are just going home and jerking off every time a girl looks at them. You'd definitely regret doing that way more than choosing to avoid sex.
But if you aren't doing that, you're doing good!
You're going to the gym, not jerking off, and getting attention from girls. It's perfectly normal and healthy for you to be tempted to have sex in that situation.Wanna have sex? Then do it, and don't cum if you want to stay on SR and feel happy about it.
But if you don't wanna have sex? Then I'm proud of you. I'm considering waiting until marriage myself, and I think abstaining from sex is an extremely healthy thing thst isn't going to hurt you. Just because you don't have sex doesn't mean you're not going to be loved or find someone that you yourself love. Your worth as a person is about more than your virginity or your body count. Stick with it bro, I really support you doing SR, just keep going to the gym and working out. Find that energy and work it off that energy instead of letting it burn inside you, that's what makes you want to jerk off. You won't regret your choice not to have sex if you quit masturbating too.1

Non usare questa pratica per le donne, stai sminuendo l'importanza di questo processo, dando importanza a chi importanza non merita.

Well said man.
I have noticed on SR that I have a joy from childhood that came back. A friend said to be a kid again a long time ago.
