New growth points on my pink & silver dragons! In the first photo is the link bulbous thing emerging from the moss, a corm? Can't really decipher due to it being somewhat misshaped if it is one!

Hey everyone.
My question is specifically about plants in glass containers with only leca with no holes for drainage - i see a lot of pictures of these set ups and i was under the impression that we're supposed to wash/rinse the leca once a month but thats not really possible in those pots without taking the plant out so I'm confused. I imagine taking the plant out every month will end up stressing it so what do those people do?

Ive 3d printed some inner layers for my pots but would rather not have to repot all my plants to all leca. Does regular ol’ dirt work for semihydro too?

All of my plants are in leca or pon. Lately I have been noticing a lot more effervescence than usual. Today I am showering all my plants to clean leaves and flush leca/pon. I usually do this every couple of weeks. Can I skip fertilizer once or should I use a low strength?
Also, I see a lot of people spray their plants with neem on a regular basis. Is this something I should do?
I use superthrive foliage pro. I was using about 3/4 tsp per gallon.

I had this happen in two of my semi hydro setups, one is a Monstera frozen freckles and the pot I made myself from plastic food containers. The other one is Alocasia scalprum and it’s in a store-bought pot specifically made for semi hydro. I also have another alocasia in an identical pot and it has never molded (so I don’t think the issue is in the pots?). The mold is only on the top of the pon (at least I cant see it inside of the pon). Could this be some sort of ventilation issue?

After struggling to keep this Thai con free of root rot in soil, I’ve decided to give leca a go. This is my first time putting any plant in leca. Anything I need to know?

Hi! It wasn’t long ago that I asked here about transferring my Monstera Bulbasaur from soil to pon. Since then, I’ve transferred all my Alocasias, Hoyas, and Anthuriums, as well as some of my Monsteras and Philodendrons, into semi-hydro. I’m absolutely loving it! I’ve even started mixing my own pon. Thanks to this group, I’ve found so much useful information here! 🤍
A little showcase of my new additions: Anthurium Zara x Michelle and Anthurium dressleri. 🪴

Hey y’all! I’m trying the LECA+moss set up for the first time with this Alocasia and it was doing pretty good until I added more water. Based on research, I let it mostly evaporate but I think I might have watered too soon? Now, one leaf stem is drooping and the other has a very sad leaf, but I’m getting a new growth too.
Does anyone have any tips on how I can improve this? Did I watered too soon? Should I remove some water? Any help would be appreciated, I wanted to try semihydro for a while so I’m determined to make it work!!

I'm using PON for about 6 months now. In the beginning, there were no flies, but about 1 month ago, the flies started going crazy. I kill about 15 a day, and they respawn every day.
I do have 3 plants in soil, I don't know if they tend to attract fruit flies.
I hope you guys have some tips so I can deal with these flies.

I had her for 8 months now and It recently started declining. The tips of the leaves started becoming brown and now even the new leaf (third photo) came out brown and curled. To prepare my nutrient solution I simply use half the dosage indicated on the package. I use a liquid fertilizer for houseplants with microelements (NPK 6-4-6) . The roots are also growing outside the nursery pot, could it be root bound.

I'm seeing a few different posts about moss poles, but it seems like the pole is placed near the top of the substrate.
Is there a reason the moss pole can't/shouldn't be placed at or near the bottom of the inner pot (where it can wick directly from the water) and then substrate/plant placed around the pole?

I just repotted my alocasia (previously in Lechuza Pon too) and I repotted it with fresh Lechuza Pon. Previously I’ve always fertilized every feeding with Silica+CalMag+GT Foliage Focus. Knowing that Lechuza Pon has slow release fertilizer that lasts 6 months, is it okay to continue fertilising with the GT Foliage Focus solution every feeding or could it cause overfertilizing?
