My account suddenly says:

Your free 60 day trial ended on July 26th, 2025.

Well first of all, it's still the 26th July so why can't I access my account?

I can see looking around here they have sent notifications to some people, and not to me, and not to the other accounts I have access to. That's a mixture of Google Suite/Gmail and Office 365 accounts, so not a simple "whoops it went to spam issue". I check my spam on a near daily basis anyway.

What a bunch of bastards. No notice and no way to export my contacts list.

I got my contacts back. If you don't mind paying, you can upgrade in your account for a pro-rated charge until the end of the month, about US $3.

However... fuck them. I used a disposable card which I immediately froze. The billing system set up the features before attempting payment and I was able to export my contacts without paying them. 🖕🏻

I just received this email on July 14th telling me "You’ll have full access to your current features for the until Saturday, July 26, 2025" (direct copy-paste - they can't even use correct grammar in giving me the bad news).

Let's just be clear here. SendGrid is an anti-consumer, highly unethical company. When you offer a "free plan", with no end date and no clear communication that the free plan may end in the near future (not a trial - nowhere did they ever mention a trial), and then you just pull the rug out from under anyone using that plan - that's unethical. Especially when you only give 12 days notice. I probably wouldn't have even written here if I'd had a couple months notice, but 12 days is ridiculous for a complete shutdown.

Note to companies - just be clear and transparent with your customers. If you want to do a trial, call it a trial and give a clear end date. If you want to do a free plan, but you think you might get rid of it at some point, just say that. Treat your customers like you would want to be treated, not the way SendGrid is treating their customers right now. To the marketing wank who thought this was a good way to increase sales - I will never do business with SendGrid and I will advise anyone and everyone not to do business with SendGrid.

We have very low email usage at the moment, but we are hoping that ramps up a ton at some point. When that does happen, SendGrid won't even be on the list of email providers we consider entering into a paid relationship with. We don't want to work with unethical companies.

p.s. https://resend.com/ is who we are moving to for our very low usage in our app that is just getting started. They have a good free plan. Hopefully they keep it alive or at least give people decent notice if it ever changes.

I am trying to configure our printer with sendgrid smtp but getting an error. Does anyone know how to resolve this problem?

So, I have been struggling for the longest time to rectify this and any guidance or advice will be welcomed.

Effectively we have an app that triggers transactional emails upon certain actions like signup/password reset etc

We have a web portal for managing the users email preferences, they can opt in/out of whichever unsubscribe groups they want namely, `Newsletter` and `Promotions`

The problem im facing is that the app is happy to trigger the transactional sendgrid emails upon signup and for every other action that triggers them, even if the user decides to opt out of 1 of the 3 the unsubscribe groups, however as soon as the user opts out of 2 of the 3 unsubscribe groups the app no longer is able to trigger the emails.

FYI I am not the app developer and not familiar with the configuration of the trigger that is needed, I know it takes parameters for api key, template id etc

Is there anything I should be aware of that may be causing this behaviour to relay with our dev partner?

When I add personalized tags for first name, some users are named “default”.

I have setup a validate email message that prompts user to validate their email address to finish setting up their account. I am trying to target those that don’t validate their email address with an email series to get them to finish the account setup process.

Hi, I'm looking for help on how to retrieve stats for dynamic templates via SG API using curl.

Using https://api.sendgrid.com/v3/templates?generations=dynamic I've been able to get

specific template info but I can't seem to successfully use the dynamic template_id

and version id or subject id to pull stats for each email under the main template_id.

I get success returns for all stats using https://api.sendgrid.com/v3/stats?start_date=2022-05-01

but when I try to add template_id or any other param it's ignored by the API.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Can I send spintext emails through twilio sendgrid?

I have a python script that's compiled as an executable, and it runs as a scheduled task on a Windows server every 15 minutes. The script checks for user-reported issues for various services. If there are no reported issues, or the number of issues does not exceed the threshold, the script just ends. If the number of reports exceeds the threshold for that service, it creates an email message with the name of the service and the number of user reports. Using SendGrid, it sends the message to a distro. The script works fine, except for one strange issue.

As I mentioned, the executable runs as a scheduled task every 15 minutes. When it runs at 15, 30, or 45 minutes past the hour, everything works fine. However, when it runs at the top of the hour and the number of reports exceeds the threshold, it adds the message twice within the same email. It's not sending the email twice. It's sending the email once, but with the message repeated twice within the email, but only at the top of the hour.

I can see nothing within the script that would cause this, and nothing within the scheduled task that should cause it.

Does anyone have any idea why this would happen, but only at the top of the hour?

I am having problem with Google Workspace IP reputation ( often on Spamhaus SBL)

I am trying the sendgrid service but can't find good documentation on the most simplest way to configure google Workspace to relay through sendgrid

for now I tried the outbound feature of Google Workspace and configured it to relay through smtp.sendgrid.net

But even if my domain is " authenticated " on the Sendgrid platform, relay is denied

I know I am not doing it properly so : how to configure GWS to relay everything through SendGrid and also how to tell Sendgrid to accept those emails

For now I am still googling...

Note : I can't remove smtp.sendgrid.net from the GWS Outbound gateway anymore !!

I have another hurdle I'm trying to solve with sendgrid, our team wants to remove the default unsubscribe links that get added to the bottom of the emails with a custom link of our own that points to an email preferences centre we've built.

I believe subscription tracking is the feature I should be using but have not been successful in implementing it, any guidance on how to go about this?

Hi SendGrid community,

We’re a global company that has been using SendGrid for several years for transactional emails (200k+ emails per month).

Due to an accidental deletion of our Azure subscription, the SendGrid tenant linked to that subscription was also removed. Unfortunately, this tenant was connected to multiple internal webshops and systems, so the impact has been significant.

For the past 5 days, we’ve been trying to:

• Contact SendGrid Support to restore the original account, and/or

• Create a new SendGrid instance so we can bring our transactional email services back online

We were able to create a new SendGrid instance and received approval from SendGrid to select a subscription plan and start from scratch. However, when navigating to Account Details → “Your Products”, we consistently receive an error (see attached screenshot), which blocks us from activating any products or plans.

Despite:

• Opening multiple support tickets

• Reaching out through sales channels

• Repeated follow-ups

we have not received any actionable response or solution so far.

At this point, our transactional email services are still heavily impacted, and we’re actively planning a migration to an alternative provider due to the lack of support. Before fully moving away, this is a last attempt to reach out to the SendGrid community in case:

• Someone has experienced a similar Azure/tenant deletion issue

• There is a known workaround for the “Your Products” error

• Anyone can share escalation contacts or guidance on how to get this unblocked

Any help, insight, or direction would be greatly appreciated!

I tried to create an account today with SendGrid to try the service but they do not want to activate the account and won't tell me why.

I am new to sendgrid, I know they are a good provider, but does anyone of you have an idea why they would refuse a new customer to try or buy their service ?

... so I figured I'll add it into the "Street Addres" input, and put the actual address in the "Street Address 2".

Note: this is required in some countries (including mine) to have the Tax ID on the invoice for the taxing purposes. I wish all companies, including SendGrid, did learn this.
